might of found a lump

okay so i have been shitting myself about this lump in my lower region it is not actually on my balls its just next to them on the left side in between my legs (thats the best i can describe it) its like a small lump/ swelling under the skin and i have noticed it for about a week or two WTF should i do??? go see a doctor?, does anyone here have any knowlege on the subject (pherhaps birdgirl) i don't want to sound dramatic but i don't want to have one of my balls removed :D

Do you have any lower back pain?

If you are worried about testicular cancer, the lump would be in your nut.

Go to a doctor anyway. Better safe than sorry.

Definitely see a doctor, hun. Can you try and better describe to me where it is? Is it on your groin or back behind your testicles directly between your legs. Does the lump become more noticeable when you cough or strain? Try palpating it (touching it) to see if it bulges out more when you cough or bear down like you're straining to go to the bathroom. If it does, chances are good it's a little hernia, which is basically simply a weakness in the muscle that allows some other tissue to bulge through. That's what you feel as a lump--the other tissue bulging through. Hernias in that area are very common, and they can either be repaired or sometimes just left alone.
