Is it true that you can save electricity by growing plants with a strobe light instead of grow lights? I'm sure grow lights are better but I heard you can use a strobe set to something like 1/100 sec. and most plants will still grow as though they were getting full light, provided the strobe is as bright during the 1/100 sec as sunlight would be during the same time.

This one is a bit crazy but has anyone looked into growing cannabis for use as a cheap wood? Or has anyone noticed that specific things tend to produce a rather thick trunk?

nOOb!
haha at least ya admit it, lol

I would avoid strobes... herms, stress, etc... besides, I think a strobe light uses MORE electricity and goes through bulbs much faster than HID.

Cannabis wood... It's an annual and doesn't get woody enough... it's strictly a fiber plant. I suppose you could make particleboard out of it though!
