Has anybody seen the new Alfonso Cuaron film Children of Men? I saw it recently and I was blown away! I'm not the type of guy to see a flick and pronounce it as one of my favourites but I came out of the theatre knowing that I had just seen one of my all time favourite films.

Anybody else out there seen it or is planning on seeing it?

I don't want to go into detail for fear of giving it away but if it is playing near you, still kinda limited release, it is certainly worth your coin.

It takes place in England in the not to distant future, 2027 I believe, as the world is going to the shitter. For the past 18 years women have not been able to give birth and it has resulted in a 1984 style government that, among other things, rounds up refugee's and deports them. People are pretty much waiting for the human race to go extinct.

I hesitate to give away any more though. The look of the film is worth the price of admission alone. If you do see the flick watch for extremely long shots. I'm talking uninterrupted shots that can go for up to ten minutes!

The main actors in the film are Clive Owen, Michael Caine and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

This trailer gives away a decent amount but hopefully it will get more people out to see it.
