Well im now on my third grow. My first was white widow...I now have a white widow mother in soil. Also I grew 2 soil WWs after the first hydro.

My third grow is about 20 days along and man they look SWEET!. My temps have been perfect (Rez and ambient) and no nute burn. I have made 0 mistakes this time and it really shows.

I will post pics soon as I will log the rest of the grow....I think its gonna be great.

Here we go as promised....hydro develops some great fan leaves and growth compared to the WW in soil....I guess I should stay away from soil. They are 20 days old. The mother is a 2 months or so but it was taken from a plant in flower so it took a while.

They are under a 400 watt MH in a 18 gal DWC. PH 5.8....1250 ppm 3 part GH. Rez temps are 62. Roots look great. I use H2O2 from time to time.

looks like some nice tight growth. Our White Widows in soil are great...however they are absolute dwarfs to the hydro White Widows. And the hydro has been vegged less time. DWC is especially amazing, I havent seen better growth with any other hydro system as long as you keep the water cold enough and changed often enough. Looking good.

Has anyone heard of this strain....All I got was a name from the club where I picked it up. I couldn't find much, I think it could possibly be a "purple" mostly indica. I was told it was really good but mediocre yield.

Well everyone this is day 3 of flower. Day 33

PH - 5.9

PPM - 1222 (Tap reading of 224) so more like 1000 really GH 3 part at 1F:2M:3B.....any experts have a suggestion for a better cannabis optimized ratio?

400 Watt HPS.

I have a nice GH airpump for "crazy" bubbles.

Res temps are kept at 58-68 with a $100 ice probe with no trouble...iv dropped it as low as 55 so I just unplug it for a couple days. My res is insulated with fiberglass and light proof.

Treated with H2O2 once a week and with every res change.

Humidity is pretty low but my little swamp cooler keeps it
65-80 F - 30-40% RH

Roots are nice and white, they are already larger at day 33 than my WW hydro grow were at day 90. In fact they picked up a couple of my air stones last res change.

Well here are the latest pics...got a couple spots from some drops of the nute mix hitting the leaves and some old clone damage from before I got em(what causes the leaf tips to shrivel and keep the color anyways?).

take a look at latewoods proven g/h 3pt. recipe ,
i used it my last grow minus liquid karma w/ great results . i did 4 girls in w/f's under 2000w. topping them all just once . 3 blueberry -1 mongrel . the 3 blueberry yielded 31oz. combined -n- blueberry is suposed to be a weak yielder . the mongrel was over a lb. by itself .

Well looking good...running them on 1500ppm, I forget I flowered them a little early so they are only 32 days old from clone. Im impressed at the growth...this one is gonna be good.

Well lets see here....im around day 20 of flower and everything looks good. I went a little longer than I should have as far as a res change but just did that.

Used latewoods .25-1-2 this time with some calmag. Everything is going good, the growth rate is good. I just hope the club didn't lie to me and give me some mediocre strain.

I havent had any real problems other than a few small deficiencies earlier on. Everything is all good.....im shooting for 4 Oz dry per plant this time(.5g per watt), thats double what I did last time.

I've medicated with God's Gift on more than a few occasions and I must say it is a top of the line strain. When grown nicely it's almost sure to be within the top two or three strains available at any club at any time, if not the best.

It's not purple, but that's probably a good thing because purple is all hype anyways. You're in for some good smoke. I wish I had some GG right now!

Well from the information iv gathered im assuming your in Ca around the same area as I, that makes me feel better. These guys dont put off much of an odor so far....im fact my WW mother in veg stinks more than they do right now.....I like the smell but as at least odor control isn't a big concern.

How early did you start your seedlings under your 400 watt MH? I would like to know because I have a 400 watt MH available, and I would like to put my seedlings under the 400 just to get things going. Right now they are under 4 60 watt CFLs (two lights to one plant each).

Really anytime after the first couple set of leaves, just adjust the distance accordingly. Might want to go 3-4 feet for little ones then move it in and see how they react.

Dude, you should count yourself lucky that you stumbled on some God's Gift clones, GG is Grandaddy Purple X OG Kush, I just picked up some from a collective in Hollywood and it was really amazing, but yeah the GDP is where you're seeing the hints of purple, good luck with those!

Well im almost 4 weeks into flower now....noticed a problem with the timer where one of the pegs was turning off the light for 15 min during its light period. Fixed that...didn't seem to hurt it though. Iv been adding molasses, I will start with a bloom booster in a couple weeks.

The smell is much more pronounced...I cant really smell it unless I touch my finger to it then it smells just like my WW. You know that slightly acidic sweet kinda minty fresh bud smell....mmmm. Getting pretty sticky.

With the molasses's I used with caution but I didn't have any drastic effects on my PH if any.

Well they are at almost at week 5 of flower..here are some new pics. Looks good starting to smell a bit. I love this camera. I put a 400 watt MH on them also....does anyone think its worth it? 800 watts for 2 plants or 400 HPS.

Well here we are around week 6....took my first look at the trics and they are already all cloudy. This may be an early harvest, I was prepared for 9 weeks. Might be just be 8. The buds still have weight they need to put on. Here are some pics.

PH 5.8 as always good temps no pests. PPM around 1360 with 250ppm tap. Iv been topping off with water and bloom at 8 ml per gallon. (1/2 str).

I just got my RO unit in and hooked up, my dumb ass busted the water shutoff valve but it was really old and needed an upgrade anyways...just had some water shooting all over for a min. But it tastes great and im sure the plants will enjoy it...right now its putting out 15 ppm water but im sure it will drop with a little more break in use.

Any questions comments concerns or rep points for a good job?

Oh and the plant at the bottom is a hibiscus..a joy to grow as well. (My iguanas fresh food)

I'd definately add the extra light...at the very least you should get better bud development deeper into the canopy...especially if the temps aren't as high as you'd like I'm sure it would even out growth

If I remember right I've read that growing with mh and hps is the best obviously 2nd to sunlight they look awesome though cyc I hope you get your 4z goal per plant

Naa don't prune leaves off that are good. Just bend them out of the way. First harvest the top fat buds then let it go for a bit while the lower ones swell for some nice bottom buds to then harvest that. That will maximize yield. As far as the extra light the cold spell it over and I cant handle the heat of both right now so just hps and some rotation and leaf bending. 2 plants under a 400watt HPS is pretty good as far a light availability. Im going to feed them up until harvest since im going to try a water cure...I may flush a little though.

I like to harvest around 15% amber.

that seems fairly early for a % is there a reason yer picking it at this point? if I remember right the clear headed buzz is supposed to be nicer the earlier you pick them but if you have some experience it would be cool to hear the reasoning behind it ;-) keep up the good work...you need to get a ventilation system goin so you can use the other light and grow 5 or so at a time hehe

Yea...I want to do 6 at a time, plans are in motion for a good setup. Thats my legal limit, I picked 15 because I want just a tiny couch lock effect but generally I want a energetic uppy head high. Your right about it being better IMO. With my WW grow I harvested at the first signs of amber...and the high was very pleasant, but I want to maximize the yield by letting it go a bit longer so the lower buds mature more and get fatter. Plus I use it for a sleep aid.

I want to use Canna Coco as a medium in a cabinet i will build. Ill post my plans when im finished with them. Basically it will be very high growth with little maintenance. It will be setup on a drip system with each pot having a 2' flexible air stone coiled on the bottom of the pot. When I get the medium right the air should bubble the nute up through the pot after it falls to the bottom for max efficiency and O2.

I plan on getting a 600 watt digital ballast for the next grow....I hear they are awesome..like a 1k mag ballast lumen wise. Depending on heat I may need a new fan also, I have a couple 120 CFM in-lines right now that have been collecting dust.

My setup is pretty much open to the room but I want something to control odor and more stealthy just in case. Thats where the cabinet comes in.

that's cool I'm just about to flower my first aero attempt and I'm definately gonna harvest no later than 50% color change...I'm thinkin bout doin it in stages too like you said...I'm still setting up everything I have a lot to build but hopefully I can get a SOG setup goin so I'm not waiting for em to be done for so long you sound like you know a ton about what yer lookin for as far as results so I'm sure yours are gonna turn out killer...are you just growing from seed to finish each time or are you choosing a mother and just cloning her?

I grew my first WW from seed..the Gods gift are from clone and I have a WW mother that I will take clones from. Ill mess with seeds once I start to breed them. Seeds are great for high yield and growth.

Today was my first topping and I tried to create a clone with it so I'll see how the plant developes from here...I've seen some pictures but it's rare to get a feel for how a plant will react unless you are there watching it dayin/dayout I was thinking about picking a few mothers and running a continuous cycle with clones...do you have reason to believe it's better to run from seed to harvest every time?

Well seeds will yield more grow faster and have more vigor but count on 1/2 being male...as you know the advantage of clones are speed and you know its gonna be female.

If I had some feminized seeds I would use them every time...just have em ready to go when you need to pop them into flower. It takes much longer from seed than clone but I think the yield is worth it. I seem to remember that seeds have a higher THC % also but im not sure about that one.

Clones are much easier to populate your garden then with seeds.

Thanks for the info Cyc ;-) I actually just checked on the topped portion of the plant that I'm hoping will root as a clone and it looks like the leaves have already picked themselves back up and fanned out so that might be a good sign...I scarified the stem and just followed the instructions I read on the site...I didn't use any chemical or anything besides running the cutting under water for a bit before sticking in the soil...WOOP

Are you planning on running a different grow section to get the seeds from or are you just gonna pick one male to pol the females by just dropping some of the powder on the females close to harvest? I think the first time I tried there was a male in the bunch and it ruined almost all the bud...on the bright side it produced a ton of seeds which are still viable even after a few years

Ok here we are at week 7...almost done. Im not getting a HP out of this as I hoped should be around the same as my last grow...these buds are extremely dense though so ya never know.

Ok...changed my mind. I gave them nutes and calmag at 70% str. Ill wait to flush...I think they still have some bulking up to do.

I made a stupid mistake though....I had to hook my RO up to the hot water and I turned the water heater way down. The water is 85 right now....I hope it doesn't shock them too bad...should drop quick though and I have tons of bubbles.

I smoked some God's Gift a week ago. It really has an addictive smell to it and smells even tastier once I broke the bud into pieces. BTW, excellent grow, Cyclonite! I have some bushes growing in veg for about 43 days already. I hope it turns out as good as yours.

They are lookin sweet cyc although they still look pretty white, I'd say you got another 2 weeks...as far as flushing have you noticed any added benefit to flush for more than a week? I'd assume most of the food a plant can store is used in a week so what would the extra flush time accomplish?

These are from week 8 or so....the pest picture is from my hibiscus plant from a store...they will all die soon. They are nasty but easy to kill. Im only going to flush for a week...very soon.

The plants look amazing! Good job! I was wondering something. I see in you pics that there are some small brown spots on your leaf tips and I notice those on a lot of other peoples pics too. I have those same brown spots on my leaf tips - do you are anyone know what that is from?

I think its PH or salt related...they popped up when I was having PH problems along with a few twisted leaves..they stopped when I put them in RO water at 70% str though.

What kind of pH problems were you having? I dont even know if I am having pH problems - I dont have a meter yet! I am using one of those liquid pH testers - not that great but gives me a general idea I guess. Which nutes do you use and what are the ratios? Do you use an EC meter?

I use a TDS meter...same deal as the EC. I use GH 3 part in 0-1-2 with 1=8ml per gallon.

Hey Cyc, how's the cultivation game? How much are you looking to yield vs time? I think if I was smoking all the time it would still take me about 2 months to run through a Z...I was also wonderin the difference of yield and potency from seed to clone...I mean if seeds are 2x as strong with 2x the yield it would be like 4x the amount of smoke but if it's maybe 1.5x and 1.5x it's probably just worth it to go from clone because of the speed...with good stuff how much do you end up having to smoke at a time to get buzzed?

Tomas I'm using a hanna meter and I know that my plants have definately looked better since I've been using that as opposed to the drop tester

Its not even close to 2x the yield with seed...its much more subtle. The potency will remain the same. Yield, pest resistance and general vigor is what you will see increase from seed vs clone. You may see an increase in potency from clones since the plant is much more mature.

The time saved with clone is worth it by far...If i had a bunch of feminized seeds I would use those and pick the best of the best for mothers if I wanted to clone down the road. Plus I would get some males...1 or 2 would be good. I dont think pollen is sold anywhere..that would be a great idea and save much work if someone sold pollen, at the Co-ops and such.

This crop looks to be lighter than the last which was a QP...the buds are not nearly as big but they are very dense and better than my WW grow.

Well here is the product of my work....1150g wet weight, so I think I will hit about a HP dry or a tiny bit short since they aren't fully manicured.

Smoke report is as follows

Amazingly smooth....even when oven quick dried. GG is a grand daddy purple X OG kush. High is really nice...doesn't hit like 100lbs on your chest very mellow yet potent. You can see the hints of purple, it would have been more drastic but some circumstances didn't allow me to go any longer.

Trics are 5% amber 95% cloudy, makes your eyes really heavy. Very light fruity kinda taste.

My cat enjoyed the harvest as well.

as far as the 5 oz. are concerned...decent yield....cant complain about 5 oz of the good shit...but personally im trying to maximize each yield per plant...im using a dwc system. one plant per bucket...and am hoping to one day soon come on here and show you all (especially crispi) a multiple pound harvest...somewhere in between 3.5 and 5lbs...IT CAN BE DONE!!!!

Adding the extra watttage will definately get you more weight and tighter budz, I run 5600 watts on four bushes, never got less than 1.5 poounds of any strain yet, well wait thats a lie I did get only 10.5 zips off a 30 inch frostbite bush, Add the light if you have it, I would put each light a little off to the side of each plant and they will blend in the middle, gets the outside a bit better IMO
