PETA TV:Chew On This (http://www.petatv.com/tvpopup/video.asp?video=chew_on_this&Player=wm&speed=_med)

please tell me I am not the only one who watched this then went and made a chicken sandwich.

What are the animals going to do? Shoot us? Take it up with the national government and make a court case out of it?

Honestly if idiots like PETA would just stay out of the stupid shit and take down real things.

Like abuse against dogs and cats and horses. Stuff like that. PETA should protect PETS.

I know that they do that, but that should be their only concern. They aren't going to turn the world vegitarian, and you know what else, I don't care how many cows had to die to get a steak on my plate.

whether or not PETA is in the right (ive heard some fucked up shit that theyve done too), i really think that what factory farms do is pretty fucked up. i tried goin vegiterian, but ended up getting like really depressed from it (not just like "boo hoo i miss meat", like serious depression) after a week and a half so i gave up. however if i can manage to expand my diet enough, id def. try it again.

What are the animals going to do? Shoot us? Take it up with the national government and make a court case out of it? Reminds me back in hs there was a quote on the wall that read: "If animals could talk, we wouldn't be eating them".

They do protect "pets". One of their biggest campaignes now is about how the circus treats their animals (elephants, etc..)

I'm not a vegetarian but what happens to some animals is horrible. For example, Wegmans (an east coast supermarket), they have a company egg farm where the hens are treated horribly. There is a video from these people snuck onto the egg farms.

animals all treat each other horribly, humans are animals. we are no exception. at least we kill other critters before we start eating them.

in the wild, a lion eats a gazelle or whatever before the thing is even dead. nature is cruel, and so are humans.

FIrst of all, I'd like to state that there aint no way I'ma eat no damned rabbit food.

Second of all:

There is NO WAY that meat will be made illegal. You know how many businesses will go out of business? We'd all be screwed by it.

Besides, if animals weren't made to be eaten, carnivores wouldn't exist. It's in our genes to eat meat, we NEED meat to be healthy, not just vegetables, and I forgot where but this has been proven.

It's true that some people are fucked up and instead of just killing the damned thing they go way out of line, and that's fucked up. But just for that people aren't gonna stop eating meat. What they should do is fix THAT, the fucked up things people do to animals, not the eating of them.

Honestly, what does it matter that the animals are being treated badly? They are going to be killed in the end, then their dead bodies eaten. Why in the hell does it really matter?

because animals have feelings!

i don't agree with the vegetarian way of life. humans were meant to eat meat.

Though I don't agree with the radical way PETA goes about getting it's point across, you should really respect any kind of life, be it plant, animal, etc. Who are we to say that any existence is less of an existence than our own? If you believe in karma, then you should care.

i eat meat, but the way some places treat the animals just makes me sick. even if they are about to die, they should be killed with the quickest and painless way possible. not being thrown against a wall or a cinderblock to the head, which you may have seen didnt even kill the pig. and you gotta admit the people who do that must be kinda fucked up from torturing animals, cause thats all it is

I love meat but

animals eat other animals, we are biologically animals.

2+2 does not = 5 people.

thats a bad example, not all animals eat all other animals.

you seem to be a sensationalist...

We can do whatever we want because nothing is better than us on Earth. If animals are getting mistreated too fucking bad they can't do shit about it.

That's why all meat should be Kosher or Halal certified. Minimum pain to the animal and no blood. And I think there's nothing wrong with consuming animal meat AS LONG AS doing so does not lead to a decrease of the population of that animal. That's why I've thought for a long time now that humans should only consume the meat of animals whose reproduction can be controlled (cows, pigs, sheep, etc...).

We can do whatever we want because nothing is better than us on Earth. If animals are getting mistreated too fucking bad they can't do shit about it.

But don't you think it's disrespectful to the earth we live on and to the God who created us and all other living things to go about treating other animals with so little respect? I understand that demand for meat is very big and it has to be met but animals should not be treated as objects.

Nochowderforyou

I never bothered to watch the video, as I feel those videos only show the not controlled, meat processing envornments, and are only a very, very small percent of plants.

I have worked in a few meat processing plants, and I can tell you, the things they show on those videos, are NOT ALL true. I worked in a pork slaughterhouse, and it was very clean, got sanitized and cleaned nightly, and had Q & A (Quality Control and Analysis) walking through there every single day. The meat was handles properly, and was packaged properly. The floors were clean, tools were clean, machines, walls, bathrooms, everything was clean.

It is impossible to have a 100% sterile enviroment, but out of my 24 years of eating, I have never gotten sick from meat. I have once from undercooked meat, but that was my own falut, but from improper packaging or handling, never.

I think PETA should be worrying about animal abuse, but in the end, and animal is an animal, like a cow or pig, but like I said, the plants I've worked in and what most of them are, is a clean, non-abusive enviroment.

I eat meat, I like it. It has been around since the first caveman bonked a wooly mamoth on the head. Animals eat one another for survival, as do we. If you don't eat meat, so be it, but if meat does become illegal, be prepared for the reckoning of red meat hungry humans moving in for the kill, becvause I'll be leading them. :p
