ello there 2 every1 who may read this.im on my second grow with a WW,i learned in my first grow i needed to use larger pots this time, first grow they were done in 5 litre pots!this time round i started it off in the 5 litre container and done the BOG repotting technique cutting the bottom off the 5 litre pot and putting it into a 11.5 litre pot, heres the prob, ive sat the pot in my propogator tray and i put a little water in the tray to see if they would uptake the water but you will see from the pics enclosed that the tray has little channels for the water to run down into which i left the water to sit in(i know i shouldnt have but was too lazy to remove the water),anyhows some of the roots are now growing into the channels where the water is sitting!(see pics).
Heres the dilema im considering filling the propogator tray with soil aswell so the roots can continue growin without being too restricted, there are no drainage holes in the propogator tray, will i be able to fill it with soil and just be really carefull when watering or is it a bad idea to do this?????
id really appreciate your comments and hopefully they will bring me to a decision on what to do with this problem
thanks for taking the time to read this......please HELPPPP

P.S. the plant you see to the right of the WW is the last of 3 superskunk which is taking a bit longer to mature enought for the big chop!

Hey, Id say you could do this. Im sorry no one replied to ya in time before dark. I think the water will go to the bottom soil and evaporate quick enough because the large surface area, so as to not cause any much harm. A fan on it would be even bester:). Lemme know how it goes.

I really WOULD NOT reccomend putting the soil into your tray, rather get a plastic pot bigger then the one you have now and fill it 2/3's or 1/2 full (better to put more as to not have this problem again) with soil and place your plant (with the pot it's in, obviously) into that, allowing the exposed roots to take cover...

Also, you should no that the roots of the kind tends to grow more horizantally, when it reaches a barricade (the side of the pot) it tends to grow straight down, unless you practice good watering habits, which I can't tutor on since I'm not that good at that.

thanks for the replys guys,i think ill go with what humoredsanity says and just about 3/4 fill 1 of my 11.5 litre pots and just sit it in it,only problem is making the plant sit even higher in the grow space :(
