I love Global Warming. The most snow we've had here in Columbus is a light dusting that is gone by mid afternoon. It has been above 50 more days than not so far.

I feed birds and stuff in my back yard... Every once in a while i see a hawk take out a bird... I get upset and try to save the bird but,,,the hawk aint having that and will not let go and always moves out of my distance and keeps plucking feathers... it is a awesome sight to see the hawk zero in and strike... In the end I chalk it up to nature but,,,I often wonder if it is worth feeding the wildlife if I am going to make them a sitting duck for the hawks,,,I reason that by thinking the hawk has to eat too and they are truly an awesome bird...

We have a lot of mourning doves in our neighborhood. They're the sweetest, gentlest things. But they're kinda slow, too. On several occasions, I've looked out the front door and seen red-tailed hawks swoop down and just snap one up out of a group around my neighbor's bird feeder. Swoop! Bye-bye dove-bird. One of our neighbors also lost a kitten the same way.

That animal in your picture sure looked a lot more like a coyote or wolf than the foxes I've seen, Friendowl.

This remindes me of the mutual of omaha show, from back in the day. With that old guy with white hair. "today we have a classic battle in the animal kingdom. A hawk Vs a brown fox" LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!!!

That IS a cool picture.

I once saw a bird, a pelican maybe, the ones with the long beaks and are white...anyways, I was chilling at the peir along the water here, and I watched this bird slowly fly over top of the water. Fly way up, then come straight down super fast, dipping it's beak into the water, and snagging a fish up. I mean, to have that good of eyesight and coordination to grab something out the water is amazing.

Animals may not be smart, but when it comes to the wild, they could survive better and longer than us humans. :p
