Ok first off I want to know how can I identify nicotine addiction. Secondly I was wondering does cigars (of course a marijuana cigar lol) have enough nicotine in them to cause addiction or craving? I was wondering because I honestly think I am addicted to blunts.

Oh, because I was starting to get concerned lol. I never experienced a feeling like "ahh..this is just what I needed" before. And for some reason now when ever I smoke one that's what goes through my mind.

I'm also pretty sure that when you roll blunts (whether you use a swisher/philly or just a plain wrap) that the tobacco they use in cigars and cigar paper is almost completely nicotine free. I'm almost positive that nearly all blunt wraps are like 99% pressed tobacco.

i was getting the same concern as orangeman.. i smoked for about a year and a half and i dont anymore.. but when i smoke a blunt its that same feeling as when i was craving a cigarette.. i can smoke up a bong and not get that same feeling... i just always want to smoke a blunt it feels JUST like the feeling after smoking a cig...
but blunts are just the perfect smoke for me too.. not so much at once and just a smooth continuous rising high

I think it all depends on the companies that make the tobacco wrap. I honestly don't know and I wish they would let us know this shit, like the ingredients on the side of a cereal box or something. It wouldn't stop me from using them even if I found out there was a lot of nicotine because blunts are just too good for me to leave alone lol but I would at least like to know.

Nicotine addiction isn't so much "ahh..this is just what I needed" as it is "I'm gonna kill someone if I don't get a smoke"

LOL well thanks for helping me to understand that more xD. I'm starting to think maybe I just like the whole thing about smoking period, maybe it's just that it's one of my fav hobbies and has nothing to do with addiction :p. Well thanks, but if you guys have more info please share :).

Sounds to me like you've got a little psychological addiction to weed in general, which is nothing to be ashamed off, since most of us do. It just means your mind has grown accustom to it and without it, things seem a little.. off...

lol you and me both Orangeman. I just realized I had some kinda mental addiction when I didn't smoke for 5 days straight and ended up:
quitting my job, not eating for 2 days at a time, not taking a dump for 3 days, got 5 hours TOPS of sleep each night, and found myself smelling the jars were I kept my previously-smoked skunk.
As for the blunts, I'm pretty sure there's no nicotine. And besides, who can turn down a blunt anyway? Better yet, who could smoke a blunt and NOT say "oh man yessss"

LOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!
Dunno why I find that so fuckin hilarious.
but yea, blunts i believe have nicotine and I crave them a lot but I quit the blunt addiction and feel much better.
Blunts are killer. They're TOO good.
I must admit, when i smoke a blunt, i fucking love it everytime. But i dont normally have any time to buy blunt wraps and when i do roll one i use expensive cigars. I cant even remember what they're called but they come in a pack of two. I'll use one for the a blunt and smoke the other as it is. I love a good cigar. They sell em singally too i think, but i never both with em one by one.

We could probably argue forever on what a true "addiction" is, but for me I believe that its only a problem if you want to quit but can't. If you enjoy smoking, then smoke on! There seems to be a lot of media making people feel bad for enjoying things such as smoking cigarettes, (or others ;) ), enjoying alcohol, etc.

I've smoked from papers, pipes, and blunts, and to me I did develop a slight dependency to blunts. I found that bud in paper and from the pipe did not give me the same effect as a blunt. I sure there is some nicotine in cigars outer shell. Cigars and cigarettes are all about getting you hooked. I very seldomly smoke gars now. All of my friends and family who started smoking blunts have never stopped, and they all say that bud in paper or bong doesn't do it for them. You can test yourself. Try smoking using papers and see if you are satisfied with the effect. If not you might have a slight dependency.

Maybe I do have dependency then but I'm not too worried about it. This is just what I choose to do.

Hey Orange,
When was the last time you smoked a joint? I used to do the blunt thing a few years back and it seemed like I wasnt getting high. Didnt feel like a cigarette crave, it just didnt hit me anymore like it did before. I changed from swishers, phillies(chestbusters),you name it. My buddy told me to change up and smoke a joint. So I smoked a joint, and after not having one in probably 6 months I was shut down. Try smokin joints for a day and see if you crave a blunt or not, you'll know.

The temporary lung damage caused by smoking anything, that really doesnt affect us but people use to argue against our pot use :rastasmoke:
Anything bad that comes from the tobacco wraps is cancelled out by the whole goodness of our stinky stick icky green weed. The healer of everything.

Lol my math teacher said that it's proven that weed is way more worse than cigarettes and more prone to giving you cancer. It's sad because he's had surgery because of 30 years of cigarette smoking and he doesn't know I know people in real life that has been smokin ganja just as long as he has been smokin cigs and they are fine. I just thought I'd share that because it pissed me off so bad when he said it lol.
