hi guys
im going to dry n cure my buds properly but i want to test a little now.
do you think it would work if i place the buds in a jar with moisture mate crystals making sure they do not touch(they are used for reducing condensation in the home),would they suck all the moisture out of the bud and dry them nice or would they lose to much potency or flavour?
cheers guys :)

You can pop a small bud in the microwave for a minute or so on a low heat (or until it feels dry and brittle). Another way is to take a bud and fold it up into some thick paper and put it on a radiator for a while. The smoke will be harsh but if it makes you giddy you'll know it'll be even better once it's properly dried/cured :D

use a hair dryer just put it on high or wrap it in foil and put it in the toaster (not the push down kind but the little oven kind).

the best way I found was to put it on TOP, not in, a toaster oven and have the oven go fukll blast untill it is brittle, good potency, not harsh and keeps flavor.

The way I dry em out quick,is to put them on a saucer in the microwave, depending on the power of your microwave, cycle them on high, for 8-15 seconds. It's a pain in the butt, but at the end of each cycle, you'll see that the moisture is being driven out, turn over the bud each time and place it in a dry area of the saucer, you may have to do this as many as 10 or 12 times, depending on how much moisture the bud has in it. As you do this, you'll notice that there's less and less moisture, until they reach a point where there's no more moisture coming out and they are dry enough to smoke. Also, between cycles,if the bud seems somewhat warm, allow it to cool off some, before doing another cycle-blow on it some to help cool it down, and if ya have to,take a paper towel and soak up the moisture in the beginning.
Just as the moisture is boiled from the inside out of the bud,so will the oil in the trichomes be affected, which is why you don't want to stick them in the microwave continouslly for a minute, also, they will actually begin to burn,as they git dryer..it's okay if the stem begins to scorch a little bit,by the time that you're done..it's usually dry enough by that time to smoke anyhow.
Have a good one...Torog :D
