Does a pipe waste bud?

I have been smoking blunts for about 2 years and im about to go get a pipe from NYC... Is it true you waste bud? And how do i use the pipe?

Depends on how big of hits you take. Probably can't kill it in one, but you probably won't have more than 10.

Haha, I would say blunts are more of a waste of bud then a pipe. A pipe you can get 10 hits with like a .3 - .4 bowl. With a blunt you roll a dub and thats it.

Pipes can be great for conserving bud... I don't light my bowl so that it stays lit... just hit the edges a bit at a time and ENJOY :D

Pipes can be fairly good at conserving. I like to have a lid or cover the bowl after hits to dampen the oxygen and try to conserve. But you'll conserve the most by Vaping:D Couldn't help it...

don't get me wrong here i love hittin' bongs
but i prefer rollin spliffs and all that cuz i say it last's longer
with a bong you could smoke some and save it
you could also do the same with a spliff?
when i'm low onw eed i roll up a nice cone smoke half
save the other half.. with bongs i feel as if
you could throw a gram in there and depending on how you smoke i guess
it could be gone within a few hits especially if you got a bong like
me and my buddies with the 4 hoses on that shit (i'll post a pic)

bongs are the way to go pratice your hits if you breath all your air out before u hit u can take a fuck load need a proper bong though check the size of the bowl on my bong cleared everytime blunts are def a waste because when ur not toking its still burning :p

well to me a blunt is a waste, mostly because i have no need to smoke one entirely. I can pack up 3 or 4 hits of some dank bud in my chillum and be good to go. Or even 1 to 2 hits in my waterfall bong, be fucked, and only would have smoked the smallest amount.

a pipe is going to conserve the most bud cause u dont have it burning unless u are hitting it if you light it so it goes out. blunts and jays waste cause they keep burning. plus u can always take a break from the pipe and save it for later.

You can also always put the joint out. Joints don't burn much when you're not hitting it. If you roll them right, they work very well. But like I said, if you don't wanna smoke the whole joint, just put it out and save it for later or whenever you'll be smoking again. Simple. Also, if you don't pack a bowl good enough, or do not have a screen, you can waste weed. This is because you will suck in little chunks of bud, and they get in your mouth. If it's mids or schwag you're smoking in a pipe, it could stay cherried for much longer, since it's dry and crumbly.

I prefer Blunts or spliffs over a bowl but owning a bowl comes in handy. Ohh and don't let them fuck with ya buying shit in NYC, they will almost always give ya a discount on things, usually I just say something like . 25 dollars, damnnn, and end up getting it for like 15 or something.. of course that could just be me :D

Joints dont waste bud. The art of rolling a spliff is so that when your not hitting it theres no smoke comming off it, BUT it's still embering. That way it doesnt go out, and doesnt waste weed.

Pipes dont either though, well... i supose if you dont know how to hit a pipe they do.

It's only embering slightly, not enough to produce smoke, but still enough so that the joint doesnt go out. It takes practise to get them like that everytime, but belive me, it's very possible.

If you can get a joint to ember without smoking you're 40% of the way to getting a joint to burn for 45 minutes.

i dont even know what your asking dude!
heres an overly descriptive explination..

pack a bowl(not too tight but enough to evenly fill it)
cover the carb if youve got one on the pipe
light the bud with fire while slowly inhaling, almost exactly like a blunt
let off the lighter and inhale, you want to keep the cherry(slang for smoldering bud) a constant size.
.if you got a carb on the pipe. right before you stop inhaling let off the carb and clear out the smoke from inside the pipe. carbs can bu used to stoke up the cherry by letting off really quick while inhaling. this is something youll have to learn on your own.

I smoke alot of blunts (thats all my main smoking buddy does besides a bong).
He rolled 2 blunts the other day and were lit at the same time and passed around ~6 people. We timed em and they went 32 minutes give or take a minute. But if I am alone, I do *NOT* smoke blunts. I like bowls because they are so much more effecient. And honestly in my opinion, blunts do not get me higher because the tobacco takes the intensity of the high away. People think its weird, but I can get higher with 1/2 as much pot if its smoked in a pipe/bowl.

Well, yes, it's tight, but not as tight as i could get it. My joints are quite fat as well as the ful length of the paper.

I will do a tutorial eventually, but i have to wait for my mate because he's the one with the camera, i've only got a shitty web cam and i dont do a tutorial with shitty pics. My webcams a peice of shit anyway, it doesnt even work half the time.

I think it really depends on how you smoke it. If you just lick the very top of the bowl with the flame and then extinguish the cherry/embers right after taking your drag, you will conserve more.
