Lately i have been getting bad toothaches right around the time i come down. Im guessing this is because i have a chipped mauler, and my wisdom teeth are coming in. So i scheduled a dentist appointment. Should i smoke up before i go to get my tooth worked on, crowned i guess? Is Novocain and weed a good or bad combo? Would it be bad for me to smoke weed after i have gone, will it effect the healing?
lol

Exactly - that's why I always blaze BEFORE I go...never had a problem. Just freshen up yer breath before you sit in the chair of pain as to not stink 'em out too much:D

Yes, I recommend smoking up before seeing a dentist. :p We all know anything is better on weed, and it helps with the pain and such that goes along with it, so put 2 and 2 together and solve the problem. Smoke before you go!
I did it for my wisdom tooth removal, and although I could hear my tooth cracking and tension on my jaw, being high made it, okay. I guess.
Just do it. :)

Hahahaha you all are crazy. I get nervous as fuck everytime I goto the dentist 'cause I'm scared they're going to accidentally stab me in the gums with that picking tool or whatever. But it isn't the weed making your dentist visit seem harmless, they always (or should, lol) give you that painless shot in the gums that numbs the area that's why you don't feel pain.

na, i doubt im getting knocked out, it'll probably be Novocain. I probably wont do it tho, cause when im high my tooth aches even more, so its probably a bad idea. Although i will most def toke afterwards unless he says not to for healing purposes
Novacane directly acts on the nerves in a radius on where it's injected. It does not have any psychological effects, it's all physiological... as far as I know. It has been done to me several times. Just know that your jaw and shit will be completely numb for like 3 hours. Sometimes they give you nitrous oxide, too. I'm not sure how it would feel to be on nitrous and pot at the same time. Nitrous makes me feel nervous... that's all I know.

haha, ive been injected with morphine and novicane during mouth surgery, plus laughing gas, i was already too fucked, i could barely walk plus i had perscription pain killers waiting for me, i didnt need no weed :p
I've had my fair share of morphine. All day every day for 2 weeks, in the hospital. I was a bit addicted when I got out. Do not fall to that level--stick to Cannabis! In fact, Cannabis helped me stop using opiates (after I got out of the hospital, I started popping oxys).

Nah its no big deal. Ive toked up before getting my teeth worked on. It helps a little bit with the pain too.

Alright well I didn't smoke before going. The Novocain was fine i guess--didn't hurt too bad. I packed one hit in my chillum in the parking lot, and hit that shit on the way home, got a little buzz going and feel pretty alright. Anyways..

OKAY
Time to get this out there... try to NOT smoke before you go to the dentist, because often we have a hard time getting weed smokers numb with the local anesthetic ("novocaine").
But, anxiety is worse than resistance to the anesthetic, so if you are going to be anxious without smoking, go ahead and smoke.
