Hi there, well i've just done my first clones yesterday, into rockwool with roots dipped in clonex, rockwool presoaked with a drop of superthrive in the water, is it normal for the leaves to wilt a little until some roots are established, they are still lovely and green, just wilting ever so slightly. They are in a propogator under a 2 tube lightwing unit. Thanks for any advice

Yep - a little wilting is normal. Do you have a humidity dome on them?

they can wilt a lil ..rock wool is acidic, could be a factor, plenty of moisture on roots, lack of water can wilt them. pik up some "vita grow anti-wilt" next time your at the grow store.

You can use Anti-Wilt and that will cure that problem and improve your chance of success.

I found Wilt Pruf at home depot. It's not in the fert section, but in with the pesticides etc. as I recall.

Clones can be so suprising! One moment they may look wilty and dying, then you mist them and you can almost WATCH them standing back up... cannabis is a pretty amazing plant.
Ask at your fert shop for an anti-transpirant, which is the technical term for wilt-pruf.
I wonder if you can use neem oil? I neem my plants a lot and they get a nice glossy residue on them which I imagine makes them a bit less prone to wilting, it's just I wonder how much clones can take of the stuff? Hmmm...

Many companies make the same type of product. They market is a leaf shine but its close enough to work for us. It may not have the other minerals but they do work, if you can't fine the proper anti-wilt.

Plus the good stuff you don't just spray you dip the whole plant before you ad the root gel or powder.

hey thanks for all the help. we're off to the garden centre tomorrow for more pots n stuff for all the new babies we've started off in rockwool so we'll have a mooch and see if we can get something. Yeah they do spring up when i mist them just like by big plants when i turn my lights back on, just hope they don't mind the move to the flower room on saturday:confused:

I still use it sometimes if it is within eyeshot or the anti-wilt isn't lol...:smokin: when I'm cloning.
