Also, a binocular reversed (look through the big end) makes a handy dandy field microscope in a pinch. Maginification is the same as looking through other end: a 15x bino is a 15x field microscope.

In truth a 30x is perfect for viewing. A 60x is a bit much and you miss a whole different view of the plant. The whole depth of Trichomes is something wonderful to view under a lighted 30x pocket microscope. :yippee:

In Canada is Radio Shack the best bet to find an approx. 30x 'scope? I'm going to need one of these in a few weeks... :jointsmile:

yeah i got a lighted 30x microscope like the one in the pic at Circuit City (i live in vancouver) for only $10. great purchase, now that i know how to use it. lol.

I just picked one up for $10 today at Circuit City, I think. It's where Radio Shack used to be in the mall anyway. Wherever I got it from I can finally see trichs properly. :)

edit: yeah since dutch.lover got his at CC I probably did too. BC as well here.
