Would it be ok to put mylar underneath my plants, or would that be bad for the underside of the leaves? I don't want to burn the bottom of the leaves...

it is fine just watch out for mold growth under the mylar...try to keep it off the soil an inch this will help with airflow

It's fine but a total waste of mylar IMHO. If light is hitting your floor to the point where you need reflective material down there, you are not using space efficiently.
Use a tarp. They last longer and protect your floor better.
After all, you wouldn't use wallpaper to redo your floors would you?

i put mylar down on my hyrdo rubbermaids to keep them cool under the light, becuase the dark color they are they can get warm, hurting the roots,

Thanks guys. I just had a little extra mylar... Didn't want to put it on the floor of my cabinet without some feedback. I didn't want to scorch my plants bottoms...
