You use plain ph'd water, water three times amount of your container. The water will run clear. Example: 3gal pot would take 9gallons of water. Good Luck! B

hey guys
i've been curious to know what flushing it, i know what it does but how do you do it?There are 2 kinds of hydro flushing, & dirt flushing.
One kind of hydro flushing is in the final few weeks of bud, using clear water insteads of nute solution to "flush out" any fertilizers/chemicals in the plant. Self explanatory as to how to do it.
The other hydro flushing is simply doing the clear water thing for a day to clean out the pipes, then going back to food solution. Also self explanatory.
Dirt flushing is pouring water through your soil to "flush out" hot spots, overfertilization, noxious chemicals, etc. Use 3x your soil volume of clear water, minimum. I.e., flush a 5 gal bucket of soil with at least 15 gallons of clean water. Be gentle. You dont want to dump 15 gallons on a plant in the span of 5 minutes. Your soil will be waterlogged for a few hours/days afterward; your plant will prolly look worse before it looks better.

I just flushed today for my second time ever. The only thing other forgot is that if you feed your plant after you flush use only a 1/4-1/2 concentraion of nutes. The do this right after I am done with my flushing I just water with my feed right after since they are soggy anyways. Last time I messed up my calculations and feed with full strength and they burnt a little then didn't relize it till after the next watering when I looked back in me log, so I didn't even flush it in time. I'm lucky though I have very understanding plants with very minor burn.
They will look a little droopy afterwards but they'll perk up.
