i've noticed a lot of people have gotten with the trend of being metro sexual. i wouldn't consider myself metro sexual even though i am abssesed with being clean and shit, i just don't like being dirty.

I would say I'm 50% metro 50% regular guy... I dont get all 'homo' about my clothes (unless it's work, then I like to wear expensive namebrand shirts and slacks) but I do take excessively good care of myself (IE take care of my skin, hair, body, ect). At heart I'm a trashy guy so I guess my look will always betray that to an extent... So not a pretty boy but not a regular slob of a man either.

A very high maintenance(sp?) man. Ususally associated with men who take long periods of time to get ready. Hair has to be just right and are considered a bit "girly". David Beckham is a perfect example of a metrosexual.

Metrosexual has nothing to do with sexual orientation... straight, gay, and bis can all be metrosexual :)

I'm not sure that I think it's as much about a materialistic lifestyle as it is just an appearance-based lifestyle. But I'm betting most of the guys on this site don't get into tailored clothes and smoothly polished appearance as much as other demographic groups might. The hippy factor is one reason. And the guys here would rather devote their time and effort (and spare money) to cannabis instead of attire.

just googled this term,
I would have to say theres a line drawn between looking extremely good and over doing it. example being in great shape, wearing nice clothes, and having cool shit as to going to a hairstylist to get a dew, looking like a banana republic model, and hiting up tanning shops and spas.
I want to be in great shape because ive been outta shape my whole life and wear nice shit because im poor, I wouldnt really fit this category.

I'm not metro, I'm homo, but I don't have any fasion sense what so ever and realy don't give a fuck what I wear as long as it's comfy and I didn't pay for a brand name, and pay extra for it to be pre-damaged

But I do like to go shopping for nice clothes from time to time, and I like to smell nice. And personal hygiene is essential!! I'm extremely clean.

But I wouldn't put myself under the label "metro-sexual"
