Okay, I might sound a little dumb but I have more than one computer but I only have one modem so only one of the computers has internet. The computer that is hooked up to the internet is Windows XP Professional and the other computer is an old one...I think it's Windows 98. I bought a router a while ago and for whatever reason, it doesn't work (my friend said it was because the other computer isn't an XP). I'd like to have internet on both computers. What is the best router to buy? Is there another way to get them both online?

I take it were talking wireless router? If so, did you install your wireless internet card into your computer? Is your router and your modem the same brand? If they are the same brand, are they the same model?

You say "It doesn't work", in what respect? Also what router is it?
