i hate that name.... and somewhere deep down i think a name ends up effecting a person.. all the renee's i've ever known (i'm talking regular citizens, not like stars or some shit) have been ugly, a total bitch/whore (somtimes both ) and more often then not severely over weight...

Hi Kiwi *waves*

I think the name persephone is so cool Slipknot...I almost named my cat Purrsephone! I switched to Lilith though cause I figured no one would get it...I was wrong :D

JeenYuss..don't you want to name your baby after someone close to you?

I know some people just pick a name but when you can say "you were named after your great aunt Angela who taught 1st grade and wrote childrens books or whatever"...it kinda adds that sentimental touch.

Have you looked into your family tree for names?

I like traditional, lasting names. The classics. People tend to give solid, good potentially grownup names to boys and call them James and David and Randall and Charles and such. But they name their daughters lighweight, trendy, overly feminized names like Bambi Nicole or Tiffany Lynn or Kailee Michelle. Too cutesy for my taste. And what if Tiffany Lynn grows up to have a nice, high IQ and wants to be a CEO or a doctor or a litigator? With a name like that, I'm thinking that'll be more of an uphill battle than it would be if she were named Meredith or Eleanor or Carolyn. These are naming considerations to take into account when picking out girl baby names.

mary jane!

holy shit... im not sure why i never thought of this omg 4ril thats fuckin tight... no every1 in my family has wack ass names like "Ida" Ruth" "linda" etc i dont like any of them really... my cousin adrian could be turned to adriana but my ex (now very close friend whom i consider a sister)s name is adriana...

for a boy i like Leviathan (Levi for short) its used as a word for something strong and/or powerful its the name of an ancient sea monster i beleive and its the 3rd book in the bible (pronounced "Le-vay-a-than")

i might jus give up & let her mommy pick her name tho if its a girl cuz for a boy i already have 2 names and i dont really plan on having more than 2 kids anyways (Markeith and Leviathan)

If you're going to name the kid Leviathan, you should at least read the book "Leviathan" by Thomas Hobbes.

Have you read the book "Freakanomics" by Stephen D. Levitt & Stephen J. Dubner? One of the studies in the books describes how kids with extremely unusual names typically come from low-income households, and have a much lower chance of even graduating high school. I'm not even remotely sure why that is, but it's interesting, none the less.

Are you having a kid already? Please don't tell me you're planning one at your age. :(

well idk if "Jade" is an unusual name for a guy but thats my name...(Jade Free-Spirit-Bear Pelcher) i was originally from a low-income family until our tribe started givin my mom her per capita checks (basically money from the casino that we get just for being native) so money wouldnt be that big of a problem once im an adult i'll get a G a week (im a little over half) and my kids are guaranteed to be over 1/4 native (u need to be 1/4 to get per cap, and about 1/2 if its with this girl im with and most likely will be with) my moms names Tonia and she didnt turn out better then any of her sisters ("Misty Clear-Water White-Cloud Pelcher" "Raven Sweet-Bear Pelcher" etc.) im going to college to get a degree in psychology/therapy etc. and whatnot so my kids r prolly guna b coming from high-income familys & im not too concerned whether they choose to graduate or not as long as they find something in life they're happy with, intelligence and artistic shit runs in my family my grandparents are a rich lawyer in Chicago, a medicine man/spiritual type person, a potter, beadworker my mom was really smart but she started poppin us 4 out at age 17 so she quit college to take care of us, my dads a cannabis user/guitar player/artist who works with many types of musical & artistic abilities but hes in it for the love of his art not the money he could be extremely wealthy if he wanted to but hes not into material things god DAMN i feel like i jus told my whole life story just to contradict what u said maybe i like to argue

my mom has 4 kids, her mom has 5, her dad has 6, my dad has 6 none of us have any FULL brothers/sisters lol but idk about my gpa n gma on my dads side i dont talk to them i jus met my dad 3 times las time he blazed a J wit me lol

besides Leviathan was choice #2 if i have 2 boys

& yes im planning one but not any time soon if that makes u feel better, maybe 3-4 years from now (im 16 in 2.5 weeks)

Oh, nothing against the name Leviathan. I think it's kinda' cool. I once had a crush on this really hot guy I worked with named "Diamond". Some unusual names work out really well. For instance, the news guy "Stone Phillips"... What a strong name! But, then again, I once dated a guy with a cousin named "Quasar". That poor child had a terrible time in middle school.

Native American, huh? I'm quite a bit native myself from both sides, though not enough to get any sort of governmental aid or recognition. I'm actually a direct descendant of Daniel Boone's brother, who history books back then recorded as marrying a "creature" (that was their nice little disrespect towards the Native American people).

It's a good thing that you're waiting to have kids. When I hear a fifteen-year-old guy talking about having kids, it always gets a little bit of worry going on - I saw so many young folks mess up their lives by having babies too young, so I'm glad that you're not planning on it. :)

Thank you. Her middle name is Taylor, so it leaves the option open for K.T.(Katie). When I was a kid I wanted to change my name monthly, but didn't have much to work with.

Name her after a good song like Layla, or Lucy, or Elanor, so she'll always have an attachment to the song. Plus i think it would have been cool if i was named after a song. or name her Sunshine
