So i locked my keys in my truck right before school today and had to call a locksmith to get it open....so i get to school and someone was like "hey whats that on top of your truck?" and i looked and it seemed to be some kind of tool to break into cars. Its like a door popper(i have no idea the real name). and i guess it some what important because the guy came back to my house and was like POUNDING on my door for 5 minutes. I didnt answer because i wasnt sure who it was (i wasnt home when the guy unlocked my truck, so i didnt know if it was some crazy random ass guy).
haha i guess this was kinda pointless but i was just wondering if anyone knows what this tool is exactly used for...i can take pics if anyone wants.

he's got to be talking about a shim... one of those long skinny pieces of metal with a bit of a bent hook on the end. for sliding down along the window and popping the locks on a standard door. Works a hell of a lot better than an old coat hanger, that's for sure.
One time my friend locked his keys in his car down at the river. We had to make a hook out of some old wire and must have spent 20 minutes working on the door. Some park ranger drove right past us several times. You'd think that two young guys at the river shimming a car door would warrent a stop, if only to ask how it was going. Nothing. Tax dollars at work I guess.

Without alarms there isn't a car I can't get into, it's a skill I learned from working in garages and it has proven helpful on more than one occasion.
I once got a free supper for me and some mates by breaking into a Mercedes for a snackbar owner who had left his keys in the car and locked them in there. My favourite time has to be when I did it right in front of a policeman .
A woman had gotten out to pop into a shop on a hot hot day and left her child in a proper seat in the back , when she came back 5 minutes later she realised she was locked out. My brother was passing by and came to get me, when I got there the police had arrived so I decided to just wait.
The cop had a bag of keys which he started to try, there were maybe a couple of hundred keys (WTF?) and I could see the woman and the kid were distressed so I asked if I could try. I had the door on the opposite side to the cop open in 20 seconds, I could see him watching me closely and I could see his mind working. I am not always a law abiding citizen (ex car thief) so I wanted to get out of there ASAP before the cop had chance to start asking too many questions. The woman was trying to get my attention to say thank you , the crowd that had gathered all wanted to know how I did it , the cop was looking at me going through his mental mugshots and all I wanted was to be at home sparkin' a big fat spliff.
