Backstory: About a week before newyears, I was at one of my best friends houses, helping him trim back his grape vines. It was about 12:00 pm, when my friends sister came out and was crying. She told us that her boyfriend, Chris, was missing and no one could find him.

Well, later on, they found him off somewhere, drunk as shit, holding a bible in one hand, and a dictionary in the other.


Tonight: Tonight, as I was sitting with my right hand man, I happened to mention the movie, Suicide Kings. My friend(his name is J) said, "speaking of suicide, you know Chris, our friend keenans sisters boyfriend?". Of course I knew him, we had partied with him on more than 1 occasion, and he was a good guy. Well, my friend J told me tonight that he commited suicide. Im not sure the exact date, but he hung himself man. :( :eek: :sadcrying

You're right. It should never be the answer. People who commit suicide obviously can't see through the cloud of problems that they're stuck in to know that it isn't the answer. I have no respect for people who look down upon people who commit suicide.

but see this is were it comes down to perception, how i see it them poor people wouldent be poor if they would have lived there life in a different fashion, but of course there are the few that it just happends to somehow. but when did money change became a factor in life or death?, i doubt that being poor would drive a person off the edge so far as to commit suicide.

It's always an akward feeling when someone 'sorta' know, dies. I feel bad for the guy and I don't even know him. As someone who failed at it, suicide is a very personal thing for me, everytime i hear of one, I'm thankful times in my life that i would have never got to experince, the sad times too.

dying knowing nothing but anger/fear/hate/ or anything else that is empty and lonely is a very sad way to go. I'm toking for him.

Most of the heartless pricks here are forgetting that if someone commits suicide, the chances of that person carrying mental/emotional issues like depression are good, and do the act not out of selfishness, which is asinine to even bring up, but out of the fact that they were so lost in their depression, and didn't receive help in time. It's not normal to want to kill yourself.

yeah, but hardly anyone ever seems to realize just how bad off they really were, until they try or do commit suicide.... or go on a mass-murder rampage... until then it's 'quit being a baby suck it up and get through it' for all we know he tried to reach out, and tried to get help and no one took him seriously... then all of a sudden he's a bad person when he went through with it.... hell there's a whole group(a large one at that) of people who don't even believe in depression, think people are just trying to get attention and ignore the problems at hand...

The Japanese, in times gone by, found it honorable to kill themselves as opposed to suffering disgrace. When the US invaded Vietnam, thousands of frightened villagers jumped off cliffs to their deaths. Look at all the suicide bombers who think they'll be glorified in the afterlife for what they do. Personally I think suicide is selfish but I can say this much, sometimes things can seem so bleak that death is almost acceptable and if it weren't for cowardice I might actually have done it myself but I hung in there through all that fucked up teen shit. Then I thought about other peoples' lives, like the children in Africa, and adults for that matter, who eat one grain of rice a day, live in harsh poverty and suffer horrific things daily but don't kill themselves. We all have to make our own way through our various situations but if you quit, then you are not worthy of the life that you have and in fact you give it up at the moment you kill yourself. Ok I need to sa something, Sg52 you really need to just stop, you're being so defensive that you're disabling the part of your brain that helps you to listen and think about what people are saying. I disagree with your statement on how you will smoke a joint for the friend but not him, reason being his friend is in pain. Why would his friend commit suicide then if he was not in pain? wasn't the person who took his own life in far worse pain than anyone he has effected by killing himself? Theres a certain point at which people are just unable to take the mental stress of life, your limit may be higher and even lower, but why would you do something so ignorant as to give no sympathy for this person who unfortunately reached their mental limit? Thats actually very tragic, its one thing to hear someone get killed by another person, but to hear it was the person himself, that to me is much much sadder when i think about the pain he must have went through
