Who do you think OVERALL is the better member of Pink Floyd?

I really like how Waters brings his personality to the songs through his crazy voice, but his attitude is way too pompous, and he can NEVER compare to Gilmour on guitar.

Even though many people didn't like it, I really enjoyed A Momentary Lapse... The lyrics were okay at best, but the music and Gilmour's steady voice made it great.

Roger's voice sounds horrible in concert... It's disappointing, although the light shows are pretty good.

As for drums, I'm not a drum fanatic, but Rick is good.

I love Richard's keyboarding and steady piano beats, esp. for Great Gig in the Sky.

Overall? I like David the best. How about you?

A friend of mine insists that the Floyd's magic lies within Richard Wright, and his piano playing. He says something along the lines of how the piano forms the basis of that slow, warm, atmospheric sound.

Me, I'm gonna go with David Gilmour. You don't have to play guitar to appreciate what this guy does with a single note.

Amused was a good album, I enjoyed it, but it didn't give me the chills like Gilmour's playing and voice do... It just wasn't the same without some killer guitar solos...

Just the way he treated Richard during The Wall sessions made me upset...

DAMNIT! I just realized I forgot to put up Syd... Shit...

They simply didn't pick him up for a gig, and left it at that. He was slowly replaced by Gilmour filling it for him during shows onstage when Syd would just play one note, or simply stand there, and one show they reached a group decision not to pick him up...

I hated to see such a talented mind overcome by a combo of schizo and bipolar, but I suppose it's every geniuses curse.

Makes me scared for my future, hah.

Dude.. if you manged to pull off a band better/as good as pink floyd youd offically be my god :D

they were all good imo, they were all unique.. i loved watchin them at live 8, being back together after all those years.. they were all old men, but still played like legends :)

As far as I am concerned, I'm the only female lead guitarist (as well as vocals)in my county, electric that is, without a band... But I too suffer from schizophrenia, although not nearly as bad as Syd's. Maybe we have that in common?

I really like "Flaming," hah. It's like a narration of my daily thoughts.
