when you boil a glass bowl to get the resin out of it does it affect the color of the piece?? My friend said she tried that method once and her bowl turned a dark greenish brown color. Although she never showed me the bowl once it got discolored I'm a little cautious towards this method.
Anyone with firsthand experience your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it the resin that changes the color of a bowl? Peace!

the resin it's self is what changes the pipes color to begin with, so of course when you boil it and get the resin out, it's going to go back to the color (or just damn near it, may be a tint darker) then when it was brand new...

Funny story about cleaning my pipe...
I'd been dry for about a month or so, and I'd already scraped out the bowl of my pipe a few times to get some decent resin hits that got me a decent buzz, but little more. So I was bored one day, and I used my normal method to clean out my pipe. I took a plastic cup, filled it with water, and dropped my pipe in there, bowl first, with just the mouthpiece floating above the surface.
I stuck it in the microwave for about 3 minutes and 30 seconds, and left to take a whizz in my room. I came back and took a look at it, specifically the mouthpiece. All of the resin that was in the chamber/stem of the pipe was bubbling out of the mouthpiece, collecting on the lip of the pipe like some amazing volcano. So I shut it off, and carefully scraped all the resin onto a business card, and let it dry. About 3 hours later, I came back and packed it into my now-clean bowl, and toked that shit. Probably the highest I've ever been. I looove resin.
