I live in Denver, between denver and Boulder....thats besides the point.....


It has snowed every week for a month......

On Dec 19-22 it snowed 34 inces at my house

the next friday i got 14 inches

the next friday i got 12

this friday we are expecting another foot...........OMG

I will tell you, I love the snow....i love to drive in it. i love to play in it, I love to shovel it.....I just love it.......

BUT THIS SHIT IS GETTING OLD........................LOL

The roads in Denver are a Mess......people are still getting stuck all over the place. Its is so bad......you need a 4 wheels drive just to clear the 10 inch ruts in the road.....

Some trash services in Denver have not been able to get the trucks down the streets since Dec 19th.....Not good

Pot holes so deep... you could drive to china.................

I have about 3 feet of snow in my backyard still (north facing) i built the kids a sled run......its cool.:)

I have a 1984 honda 200x 3 wheeler ( i know ill shoot my eye out) i have been driving it around like it just normal...LOL

Bill, The president just declared Trinadad disaster area.....along with many others in colorado.

We were in a state of emergency 2 times in a week.....major snow

We don't have any such luck here, although that storm that's still a ways north and will be in this weekend is apparently going to bring even us Texans some frozen precipitation. With our luck, what it'll be is ice instead of snow. That's what we usually get . . . .

Your not alone bong! We have the same stuffs happening.

No one can leave their homes. But that doesn't really matter because all the roads, schools, stores, airports EVERYTHING is closed. So there's no where to go. If the city evacuated right now, the only ones leaving would be those with snowmobiles.

I take my kids to a hill....called DEAD MANS HILL. (Cause of the manhole cover, if the snow is wrong you could hurt your self hitting it, i got a picture in my high school yearbook doing a a method off it, on a snowboard, in....88..lol)


there is a manhole cover about 2/3rds the way down, and it stick out about 3 feet above the ground....

this year it is snowed under and my kid launched off it......like a 3 foot cliff on the back side....

i was freaking out.........they hit it....clearer it, landed it, kept going..... and loved it......

It was 60 degres fareinheit just a couple days ago here in Sothwestern Virginia Flowers even started to bloom! But, we had about 2-3 inches of snow yesterday (the absolute most we ever get here is 6 inches.) It's mostly melted now though... The weather has been so crazy everywhere... it's fucking global warming.
I wish it would snow a little more so I could atleast get out of school for a day or two... :(

Frozen rain sucks.....

frozen rain comes from it falling through a cold layer of air....ie the arctic cold front coming.

a tempature inversion sets up alla.... frozen rain....

hope it just gets cold at all layers of the atomosphere and you get just a little snow....a little.

We could never EVER deal with that much snow, that's for sure. For us, three inches is a lot. And heck, a half inch or snow or ice makes the top stories on the news and gets the newcasters all jazzed using language like "Icy barrage" and "Arctic blast." We're used to heat and drought down here on the Texas prairies--and mild winters. I'd love to ride down a hill or moutain on a sled at least once in my life. . . .

I drove up from Texas to Denver a few days after the initial storm. On Xmas eve, I drove from Hampden Heights to deep hilly littleton and the roads were BAD. I had a hard time taking off from a light. I did get stuck in my brothers driveway twice though. I guess thats what happens when you don't bring the land rover.

I left the day that the 2nd storm hit the 28th. Back to the Texas.

Oh I know how it is brother. Yes, it is the frontrange...but the ice covered roads make it difficult. You'd appreciate my toy though.

I just sold my 1991 toyota pickup 350 chevy small block...chevy drivetrain, SAS dana 44 front. Locked front and rear on 38s. A few rolls and alot of flops...done quite a few trails in colorado, arizona, arkansas and texas. Great stuff, never took it in the snow though.

OK..... so here it is Sunday. Its 25 degrees, I have another 4 inches of snow, expecting 4-8.....

This is the 5th weekend in a row with snow.

it brings my 5 week total 60 inches at my house....64-66 inches after this storm is gone....

we still have the sled run in the back yard.....

About 18 inches of standing snow in my back yard....


Our mountians have a 40 inch base,( ski areas) my back yard is around 20....LOL

thanks ive never been there before, thats why im so excited...i did go2 vail like 5 years ago tho and since then vail is still my favorite, ive been to utah, new zealandm australia, and i always go to vermont...but nothing compares to vail(im assuming beaver creek is similar)

I wish I could take a picture right now of the snow we got yesterday morning. I don't have my cam here though.

We have had such a weird winter this year. At first, we had winds up to 120km per/hr, thrashing the shit out the city. Then we got a blizzard here a few weeks ago, and yesterday morning, it snowed about 10inches in a matter of 6hrs.

To say the least, we got a pissload of snow here, but it's keeping me employed, so I don't mind one bit. :)
