If you have even a slight knowledge of Ancient history you'll know that in the early days of humanity we lived under the rule of a matriachy. Though there isn't too much information available to us today about the matriachal systems, (due to the censorial tactics of the later-day patriachy), a rough idea of how this ancient system worked, rather didn't work, is available. Some time before Christ humanity transitioned or was forced into a patriachy. Patriachal rule is still going strong to this day. Anyone with limited intelligence can see that a patriachy isn't working and has never really worked. So my question is: when will we transition into a fraternity/sorrority? Sorry, I can't think of what to call this type of "rule". Anyhow, I think an attempt was made in the 60's, but due to Vietnam and psychedelics the attempt fizzled. Isn't it time we started treating one another as brothers and sisters? Haven't we outgrown the rule of our "founding fathers" yet? When will we be able to stand on our on two feet as the men and women that we are, without tyranny being lorded over us? Just a thought! Hopefully a generation will soon arise that can see the merit of joint effort and bring us a well needed revolution. Peace.

I think an attempt was made in the 60's, but due to Vietnam and psychedelics the attempt fizzled. Vietnam and psychedelics were probably more the cause of the attempt than cause of it's failure. The fundamental problem is that those uninterested in power will almost always lose a power struggle against those obsessed with it.

The "Hippies" had an Idea of how it should be, with the peace and love thing, It's just when it had to be put into practice, The Ego got in the way and the Hippys became yuppies. It is the Human factor, the old "whats in it for me". Being from that era myself, I know first hand how I transformed when the realization That I was broke and had no income, became a problem and my self worth and dignity were questioned, I sacrificed the true Ideals of hippydom, and found a Job and started the American routine. The old saying still applies. "It's hard to remember that you came here to drain the swamp when you're up to your ass in alligators" I believe that without some higher power intervention, Man being the warrior he's always been, will soon destroy mankind with the superweapons not used yet against man, the plutonium fusion bombs and the neutron bombs. Maybe this is a little alarming, but history dictates that man has used every weapon ever invented at least once, and those have not been deployed yet..BTW, I hope I'm wrong!!
