Going to Amsterdam!

I lived in London for a bit and turned down many an opportunity to go. Well, I'm back in the US now and am financially able to go, so this time I'm going to.

Since I have never been, I'm looking for advice on accomodations and the best coffeeshops to visit while I'm there! Any input is much appreciated!

im moving to amsterdam with a mate in a few months.. gettin 1000 from my dad, hes gettin some money from his mum and bro, and we're gonna work and put some money in bank to so we have enough to pay bills in a flat til we get jobs there, cant wait.. amsterdam's gonna be killer

but im not gonna bother with payin for the internet tho, waste of money.. only reason i have it now is cuz someone else pays for it haha, altho i do love downloadin musc :D so ill have to burn ALOT of cd's before i hit the scene hehe

I recently bought a friend of mine a Frommer's guide to Amsterdam, it had some nice things to say about alot of the coffeeshops. Too bad I don't remember most of them.

If your looking to vist there are many cafes around town to choose from,
I would recomend you not try to rent a Bicycle do to the (SNOW!!!)
But dont worry about that, when you can always spot a nice warm and cozy cafe on the corner to stop at. Choosing cafes to visit really has to do with your mood,There are Dreadman cafes, Techno cafes, internet cafes,
smart shops, and head shops. Be safe in the smart shops though, there hard to spot but look closley,(They are There) you can choose from a varity of smart drugs such as Mushrooms.
Ps. I recomend The Grey Area, i work there so come by and see me.

In fact at The Cannabis Cup In November my wife and i, ran in to Brad X and Johnny Richter from The kotton Mouth Kings and had a giant Bong x Vape session at Barney's with em.

I was in Grey Area during the Cannabis Cup 2005, it was mobbed, I was already stoned out my mind and bought 2 differant strains, the American dude didn't tell me which was which....but i guess I would have forgot pretty much instantly anyway :/
