Veg/Mother room Old Fridge?

Hi I have a flower room that has a 1k hps cool tube and some dwc buckets.

I was in need a veg room. I was thinking about this fridge I got. Use a small MH or floros, bi level with light holes for the first level. High intensity up top, young ones, or seedlings below.

Could I plug the fridge up to lower temps? I know howto bore a hole and get electric in the fridge, we used to bore holes for co2 in keg a rators.

What do you all think, I need somewere to start my girls and house my mothers.

I figured Id just lock it and people would think its locked to keep yungin s outta my beer.

hi doc,
A fridge is sort of the prototypical self-contained grow container... I've seen pics of them with veggin gclones in the freezer part and flowerin gin the top!
Using the existing cooling system is kind of meh though... you are MUCH better off to bore a big assed vent hole in the backs of both sections so that not only do you keep the temps down, you also get air exchange, which is ABSOLUTELY necessary. And flouros give off very little heat, so that's a bonus.

So do you think I should plug the fridge up or just leave it un plugged and vent it properly? I could go today and buy some supplys for it. I need a place to keep a couple mothers. Im also thinking about making it bi level for mothers on top and cuttings and seedlings on bottom. I'll def take some pictures and keep you posted.

Don't plug it in....that will be a short lived experiment. You will absolutely burn it out. If you didnt put holes in it and used fluorescents you might be able to get away with it but no way with HID. Just vent it and use it as a cool stealth container.
