Busted Growers in UK

Hi all!
As you all know,the time to grow-our-own is NOW! as non-contaminated weed is harder to get hold of than the contaminated shit and the prices seem to be in the high range as no one has any good stuff left.. :S

So I was wondering how many of you UK growers have been busted and what happened to you. if you got a fine, great*, tell us what it was and for how many plants and stuff if you got prison time, crap, but again share with us.

This isnt because i enjoy your pain and like taking the piss out of fellow growers, NO, this is because I would like to further understand the consequence of growing and I am sure as more many more first time growers are starting up this would be very helpful for many.

But i mean proper details, like so we can get a rough understanding of what, punishment:plant amount, ratio we expect

And mention whetehr its the first time youve been busted or not, in other words, as much info to help us make a general idea of the system....

i havent been busted (touch wood!!) but ive heard about peoples who have, and it really depends on a number of different factors as to what punishment you get, in my mind this is what i consider to be a rough guide:

severe punishment (whatever that might be, prison, hefty fine etc) would be gained from growing anything over 10 plants or even less (im not too sure!) in a professional way eg hydro hps setup.

lesser punishment from growing a relativly small amount eg 3-6 plants because it is obvious your not growing to supply large demands the law sees it as growing for personal use, but still if the police are being bastards they can get you in alot of shit!! (as a mate found out!!) expect to get in some trouble for this amount so be warned.

slap on the wrists type punishment would be growing say 1 plant say outside sumwhere as long as it doesnt get huge!!

as i say this is what i believe to be roughly the score but as with most things i am probably way off!!

as a first time grower you need to suss out how much risk of being busted is there then make the decision on how many plants is safe to grow!!

P.S. i fukin agree bout the weed in the uk at the moment, theres too much crap about, nice stuff from local grows about a bit more now but still pricey!! £25 on the bloddy 1/8 nows the time to grow your own!!

ohh i forgot to mention expect to get in the shit big time if you have previous criminal records!! esp. for drugs charges!!

thanks man at last someone paid attention to this thread, but seriously thats the groudnwork it would be good as i said to have proper first person stories i mean there must be loads of people out there (i even spoke to one guy on this forum thats what made me write this thread) I mean i dont want to say:

Look at all these people getting caught DONT DO IT!!

Thats exactly what i am trying to help people do...

(I couldnt make my mind up whether to post this in legal or cultivation, but than thout that would mix up with the americans etc. etc. and they got different systems so i posted it here)

good thread zelda i'm surprised noone has added more.i thought under 4 plants should keep u out of prison,but thats only hearsay not fact,come on guys someone must have been busted on a small scale

Hey I guess UK has been lucky :P as my statistics (the above thread) show very few busts in the UK :D

my friend's mum is a magistrate, and she says you wont get into too much trouble, unlessyou've had previous drug convictions. Just act really sorry and keep apologising, you'll probably get a small fine and some community service, if that.

See a few people have mentioned previous drug convictions, how does that go roughly? lol like what drug convictions thats somewhting we need to emphasyse on as i know many people who smoke will have been done for possesion. So like people with connections (magistrates, police) could look into the convciction side.

So far i imagine if you have been done for: intent to supply,
than you woul.d probably go jail for a few plants, but what about if you have a possesion covinction and lets say 3 plants how likeley is it than??

iv'e got a drug conviction going back to 92 i got caught with a bar of hash they(police)told me to put my hands up to intent to surplie or they was going to nick my pregnante girlfriend because it was her flat and they was going to kill my 2 pitbulls 9 weeks old so i did got 240 hours communeity service and £500 court costs,and i am a single parant and i still grow 8 plants (FUCK THEM)i dont sell my weed to anyone i dont really buy off dealers ,cos i dont want my kids seeing that ,my kids dont know i grow :)

Ive been busted twice now,
First time they missed 2 n half oz of solid id thrown in the bin when i saw them approach my house but they got a bit weed and £400+ so i was charged with being concerned in the supply of resin,i got the cash back,but then i got fined the exact amount of money theyd just gave me back and told to pay within 2 wks lol(they knew being on the dole Id have to hand the cash straight back over).
Second time i got busted was because i got grassed on by who i thought was a mate,they got £900+,bag of resin cut in deals and an oz of weed..
I got 180hrs community service and to the amazement of the Procurator Fiscal ALL the cash back!!..

I think a lot of it is down to what drug/amount youre caught with,youre previouse convictions,the way you act with the cops and before the judge(sherriff here in jockland) and also the judge him/herself as each one would give a different outcome for same thing..

I was lucky,and it was same judge id been up before over many years,but i only dealt in resin n weed,caused no problems for any of my neighbours(who all knew what i did) and didnt flash about acting the cunt...

Tell you,typing that was hard ripped.

Oh and ive stopped selling anything illegal,if id got caught once more i would have lost my housing association flat and my 3 kids and i just couldnt risk that...

Hey guys, what with the crap in the paper about prison overcrowding and vouchers for smack heads we could probably grow a 100 plants and get a £10 shopping voucher to help us kick the nasty habit

lmao at last post i know my mate got caught and he got free registration to a gym for a year, though he was a 'minor' (16) but still lol its amazing and iknow ppl who have been caught for worse than weed, they go on the YOT crap than hte YOT dicks put htem on a gym thing or some other fun activity crap like learning to DJ and shit its a fucking amazing system, but hwile smokign weed makes me a criminal i am happy about hte fucked up system as i know that its that same fucked up system that may be sued on me at any time... lol
