I got bored, so I pulled out the blender...

...and a tea strainer, a coffee filter, the bucket of (regular, non-harvest) trim, and some ice water, and made some hash.

1) I set the trim bucket in the freezer a few hours.

2) I added ice cold water to the trim.

3) I blended it on low for about 15 minutes.

4) I poured the resultant slop through the strainer into the coffee filter.

5) The stuff left in the coffee filter is hash. The stuff left in the strainer is worm food.

you left something out volker. how was it?! :Dmmmm... so tasty! Strong traditional hashy flavour, powerful expansion. Zingy, energetic - but short lived - high. Got almost .75g. A little chunk was nice by itself, but a tease. Half a gram worked superbly as a "dessert" treat after a joint with the neighbors. They were impressed.

Sounds good! Just from regular shake as well, wow! I can't wait to try this out using all the shake and trim from harvest. I'm as excited for the hash as I am for the bud. :D

ok i enjoy making hash but to be honest it seems easyer to just smoke the kief in a joint, whats the advatages/diadvantages of making and smoking hash.

can you please post EXACTLY what you do with the hash once youve made it plz cheers.

You can do things you normally do with hash. BTs (bottle tokes, not Brit. Telecom ;)), hot knives, things like that. Plus you can carry it around in a chunk, whatever that's worth. I always kept the kif in a little container and smoked it as well. You're going to catch the same buzz. BUT...

... you should read the thread a little more carefully. He used trimmings/leaves and not kif to make this stuff! :)

Save the trouble of breaking it back up to roll with yer weed. Good call!

The pressed hash is good for the traditional "small chunks of hash in a bowl", or any other way you would normally smoke hash.
