Swallowing after a hit

For some reason when I take a big hit from a blunt instead of coughing I will accidentally swallow a big gulp of air/smoke. Anyone else have/had this problem? I used to inhale a big hit into my mouth and then quickly inhale it all into my lungs and this helps to take a bigger hit because it's not heating up your lungs more and more while hitting it, but lately I don't remember that method.

hahaha, one day i smoked a few bong hits at a bros place, on the last toke i swollowd the smoke by accidenti never though of it and went home for supper(live like right next door) my family sits down to supper and i let out a massive burp and out came the hit... needless to say i was caught.. but my parents were cool with. it lol it was great!

its neat when you burp smoke 20 mins after a sesh, but the trapped air pushes against my throat (i cant burp when i want to for some reason, just when it comes, never could) and i feel like im about to choke (until i finally burp, but this usually takes like 15 mins to happen :(), its horrible. same thing goes for pop, i dont drink it when im high because of that very reason.

Maybe it's hitting you in your chest and you accidentally gulp down choking xD. I dunno, but don't swallow your smoke. Inhaling does a good enough job getting it to your lungs. I dunno about swallowing smoke but I always thought it went to your stomach then. I don't know but I really don't care because it's nothing something I do and 99.8% of the people I know never mentioned anything about it. Besides you and some other guy lol.

i used to, back when i'd take bigger hits then i could handle... the only reason i can think is that you're trying everything you can to NOT cough out the hit so you just naturally 'swallow' to like stop the 'need to cough' feeling and you just happened to of not inhaled all the smoke yet.. it used to make me really nasueas if it happened like more than once... and i don't understand how a mouth full of air, ends up making you burp multiple fucking times.. it's like when the smoke hits your stomach, it instantly turns into 5-6 times the volume it was when you swallowed it...

i haven't swallowed a hit in years now... i don't really ever need to cough either.. but if i do, now it's after i've already held my entire hit in for a few seconds, as opposed to when i just barely start inhaling..
