:D
Hi due to the shit gritty/sandy/glassy weed thats been going around lateley i have been forced into growning again... (not that this is a bad thing as I enjoy it lol :D I just dont like the risk)

This is my first grow, which ended up outside but still had well over an ounce which was nice... :| http://boards.cannabis.com/showthread.php?t=70269

So I have grown before and it was like just the spur of the moment, i came online, i read, i realise its quite simple, i read more, ask some stupid questions and start painting my cupboard lol.

This time i decided to do a more calculated grow...

I will make a grow box myself instead of converting a closet, and it shall not be in my house it will be outside in my garden.
I have made the plans which you can see in the picture and now once my parents are all away at work and stuff, work can begin, meaning monday or tuesday.

But first i would really like your opinions as i shall dig a hole for the box and stuff and anyway here is my exact notes:

KEY:
1- CFL.
2- CFL.
3- CFL.
4- Arcadia aquarium lamp.
5- Wickes, 2foot fluorescent tube.
6- ventilation, with a metal hose/tube thingy to stop light escaping and to take it above gorund level.
7- Air sealed holes for wires to go out of the grow box and into the electrical box.
8- ventilation (same as No-6)

Different shdes of Blue: wires from different lights.

Earth level:
The box will be outside hidden under bushes, and to keep it hidden i am planning to dig a hole for it and than cover the box up to 3ft in dirt all around the sides, this is why i need the door to open UP as i have no access to the sides...

Also will include computer fans for the ventilation but cant remember whcih hole has to be IN which one OUT(bottom one or top one :P)

Planning to grow 3 plants in 1ft square pots.

Going to have a seperate 1x1ft box next to it for the electrricity sockets.

I plan to use different nutrients on different plants, different strains and different soils , etc, gonna be as varied as i can while still aiming for a nice yield (not just gonna start pouring acid in them to see what happens, ill vary it but sensibaly)

Thank you all for any input!

bit of a noob question, but i too want to grow. why do you need 3 cfl's, AND a 2 foot fluorescent tube?

Okay i know You dont say you think this, but most beginners I talked to (not that i aint a beginner) think they need to make like a really hot place with a bit of light, thats worng!

You need loads of light LIGHT LIGHT!!!

I need more light, but that is soemhting i will overcome later.

in other words the more the merrier (like the more lights you have theb etter results (i think))

I dont know i think you meant to say why do you need so MANY if so than there you go i answered lol.

If you meant something else pls explain what you meant...

Good luck! :D

PS: i would have edited my mistakes but i aint sure how to turn off overwrite on the forum messaages and its screwing me around (as you can see i tried and now am missing some spaces lol so sorry about spelling)

I just found anohter thread witch gave me some doubts about temp and dampness....

Do you think it will be alirght in there expeccially in summer?

and should i creat maybe some insulation (i have rockwool) or what else could i do to stop dampness (itll be nearly underground dont forget)

already posted in the other thread but here ya gO: the problem i see with the box in a hole in the ground would be electrical, weather, ventalilation. you can have ventalition but how would you keep the rain and bugs out? I might have missed some important info but if i havent could you please explain your setup a little more

rain aint too hard to keep out i mean it will have the lid for one, than there is a blue non-wet-thru material (not sure what it is called, its like a plasric sheet) that will go on top and that will be covered in bin bags (full of nothing stinky just plastic and paper and stuff to divert attention) just like worried that it might get damp in there.

I aint sure about bugs, just hoping they stay out i guess, i mean they cant get in through ventilation cos of the fan... :S maybe

and they cant get in through the top cos of the lid.... hopefully

thanks for the input though, i have sorta began work on it but just need to get some hinges for the lid lol (forgot them when doing my shopping)

Have pics of it soon as finished... :D
