if your hoping for that, you better know how to tell a sound engine from a very minscule inspection... or atleast a half-decent one... also need to check shocks/brakes very well... hell, just find someone who knows a good bit about cars, and have them come when you're trying to find your car.. also sent aside an extra 500.00-1,000.00 cuz there's almost definately going to need to be quite a bit of fixing involved with any car you get... unless you know and trust the person selling it to you... then all the above still has a half a chance of becoming your reality... few really realize this, until they have that peice of shit sitting in their drive-way while they're still bumming rides around cuz their car don't wanna act right..
lol! partyguy my chrysler was an 85... we're not too diffrent after all...

1988 Toyota Corolla (got it in 1998)... gray, 5 speed stick shift, 160,000 miles on it. It was given to me by my new aunt (she had just married my uncle) and I drove it for 2 years, into the ground. I had glow in the dark stars on the ceiling of it and stuff. God I loved that car. :(

My first car was a 1985 (I think) Pontiac Sunbird. I got it when I was 15 or 16 back in 1992 or 1993 as a FREE hand-me down from my mom. I totaled it within a year :(
It was a good car with low mileage and was actually 'zippy' for a 4 banger... Afterwards I ended up having to get a freaking job (which sucked when I was still in school) and bought a FULLY loaded 1996 Chevy Camero with t-tops (this was back in 1997 so it was practically a brandnew car) and the whole 9-yards. I got laid so many times in that car it wasnt funny. In fact I ended up selling that car to my ex-gf mom and just ended up seeing it again a few weeks ago... She still looked fucking hot (the girl too hehe)!!!

No shit bro. I actually had girls offer to get naked or give me BJs if I would let them drive my car... Even though Cameros are kind of a poor man's sports car, this was back with the new body types JUST came out... Everyone who saw my car was like, "Goddamn dude, that must have been super expensive".
But yeah, nice cars in HS = lots of pussy. Doesnt work so well as you get older... Unless you still want to chase after 18 - 21 yrs old girls... But I advise any guy in HS or college to invest in a nice set of wheels... Your dick WILL thank you.

the second one, the 85.. some guy was selling it as a parts car, perfect body and interior condition, but he said it just didnt run and didnt know what was wrong with it.. so we got it and towed it home and we tried starting it up in the driveway and it did! me and my dad both were like WTF??? and we drove it around and it drove perfect.... FUCKIN DOPE ASS car i put like 800 into it... and then my friend crashed it, owes me like 2 grand, and he dipped on me

I love those 318 BMWs. That was my little bros first car. He got lucky and a co-worker of my dad's at the time was moving out of country and the company was reimbursing him for selling his stuff cheap. He got a 15k BMW for 5k.
Sadly he wrecked it like 3 times and now it is just sitting in my parents garage just waiting for my dad to get around to call a tow truck to take it to the junk yard... Real shame as it was such a beautiful car. Fast too!

I don't know how much it was, but it was a 97' Ford F-150 with really bad breaks. There were several times I couldn't stop and had to just press them over and over until they finally caught. I was so happy to get ride of that thing. The truck would have been great if it weren't for the lack of breaks.

In 1983 my Parents matched my $400 savings for a grand total of $800 towards a car. I bought a '78 hatchback Honda Accord which I drove for 2 years. It had over 200000 miles on it when my Dad took it away from me to trade in on a new car for himself.
I gained an '83 Buick Century (his old car) out of the deal, and the Century had a 6 cylinder! :D
Then I crashed the fuck out of it and had to buy my own car. :(
been buyin' a new one every 2 years since then! :D

Mon, I love to hear about people owning mid-seventies cars. They were crap, but I had a few before I was able to buy something above that range (because they were old by the time I started driving), so I feel kind of nostalgic hearing about things like Mavericks, Volares, Colts, Vegas, Pintos, Fairmonts, Hornets, and so on. My first car was a 77 Mercury Monarch, with wire hubcaps, 200 CI engine, landau top, 4 speed manual transmission with overdrive. It was slow, handling was terrible, and it acted as a birth control device (no chance of conception if you never get laid). Ah, what were those car designers thinking back in the seventies?

I had my first car when I was 17, it was a customized Chevy Camaro Z28 built for me by my uncle who was a talented mechanic, for free. It was suped up with a 360 small block, fiberglass frame, bucket seats, duel exhaust the works. You couldn't pull away from a street light without peeling out, it was that sweet. Several years later I sold it back to him for a couple hundred because he hit hard times and needed transportation. I'm now 24 and my how I still miss that baby. *tear trickles down cheek*

1979 Buick regal sports coupe turbo for $650 (this would be '98 I suppose). Almost sounds cool, but really wasn't. All though the 8track was pretty sweet. I used to call it Rolling Thunder. Had to sell it because I literally could not afford to fill the tank on that merciless beast anymore.

My first car was a 84 civic stick shift for $400 it had 250,000 miles on it when I got it. I had it for 4 years and it was the best little car I ever had in my life. It never once broke down. When we sold it to my dad it had 307,000 somthing miles on it and he drove it back and forth every day to work until he used it as a partial down payment on his truck. He said when he traded it in it had over 350,000 miles on it. I would still have it now but my husband wanted to get me a newer car so he got me a 97 accord. I miss my little blue rust bucket.

1984 Mustang hatchback with peeling silver paint and a huge dint in the drivers side door. It cost me $1200 that I have scrimped and slaved away at my first job (Sonic) for. Somewhere around 1990.
I rarely changed the fucking oil so naturally it wound up throwing a rod and leaving me abandoned at the side of the road hitching a ride from a couple of deer hunters. Good times, good times.
How about smallest car you ever got laid in....now THAT'S a thread.

only around 720 HP, and i think it was 685 torque... hold on, ill check it out corectly, i basicaly have the order fourm for the motor book marked...
yep The ZZ572/720R is rated at 720 horsepower at 6250 rpm and 685 lb.-ft. of gut-wrenching torque at 4500 rpm.
and any cars made by pontiac, hummer, saturn, and about another dozen companys are all made by GM GMC, or more recently GMC-A(general motor company of amreica, due to the mix up between gmc, and gNc) will have a sister car made by chevy, with the exception of a few(hummer is one, but they still use the same stock motor at the chevy trucks)

meaning, its a 572 cubic inch displacement from chevy/gm performance parts, putting out 720 horse power(the highest is will go) at 6250 RPM...
685 ib-ft torque (the highest it will go) 4500 RPM
heres the dyno test http://www.gmperformanceparts.com/EngineShowcase/dynochart.jsp?engId=ZZ572720&engine=ZZ%20572%20720&sku=12498827&engCat=bb
