Some people just can't handle it. I was with my friend at a chinese resturant and I just LOVE the wasabi. It really had a good bite that day. He is such a pussy when it comes to hot things. Its like seriously, grow some balls. He complains when the basic hot wings flavor is too hot. He can't eat any kind of salsa. He ased me if it was hot, and I told him not really. Its not hot, its a different kind of hot. Your mouth doesn't feel hot, but you can feel your brain shiver inside your skull....but its great. I can respect anyone who enjoys wasabi and eats it like I do, sight unseen. What is yalls limit? As long as it wont kill me, I can probably eat it and as long as it has flavor, I can enjoy it.

Some people just can't take hot food. You just get a tolerance for it. I don't think you should be like that to your friend. He can't help it. But as for me I hardly ever eat hot shit. And I think to much heat just kills flavor.

Well, someone who isn't sensitive, there is a difference. If you get cheap ass salsa, all you taste is heat. There are two sides to anything hot, 1 is the heat and the other is the flavor. I don't eat anything without flavor.

There are many hot dishes/spices/peppers that have awesome flavor.

It probably had Chili Petines(sp?) in it. Thats what they do. They are super hot and cover your mouth in fire. We used to have a bush of them outside growing up. My dad told me to put one in my mouth and chew it once and hold it in my mouth for 4 seconds. I thought, oh this isn't so bad, the i spit it out and my mouth was on fire for about 20 minutes. It wasn't horribly that bad, I imagine death is worse. Eitherway, they don't have flavor....so they are practially useless unless you need extra heat.

wasabi is unqiue in hotness becuase it doesn't linger for ages like chilli does. it's like BAM! ultimate freshness so fresh that it burns and than it quickly subsides. i love it.

is there wasabi in chinise places?
thought it was a japanise thing.

oh and its really good when its fresh ground, the powder stuff you get at most places isnt very good.
ginger root is good too.

well, its well received with sushi. I only eat it with single solitary foods like shrimp, sushi, squid, crab and that sort of stuff. There is actually ways to eat it so it doesn't flare up so much. You gotta watch how you eat it, if it hits in the back roof of your mouth, watch out brain cause its comin!

LAst year a new chilli sauce that was like, i think concentrated was in the news cos some guy died after eating some. i think he had an ashtma attack OR his airways just closed up. Cant remember.

I eat alot of hot currys so i dont mind hot food, but it has to have flavour, no one wants to just heat eat... if it hasnt got flavour it's not enjoyable, but if its hot with flavour it's alrgiht and i'll try it.

Ive never had wasabi but wouldnt mind trying it, i like to try everything once.

Well, I imagine the moment you die, it doesn't hurt anymore. But i imagine your last moments are excruiciating knowing you are about to die.

interesting theory. i believe that in your last moment of life, you just come to accept all that's come to pass, because essentially, your mind is just... letting go.

i would disagree with you that its the spiciest, it just hits you for a few seconds then its gone and youre right back for more, it is spicy, just not in the traditional sense

Wasabi in a Chinese restaurant? Are you eating your sushi at a Chinese restaurant also? It's like ordering pizza at Taco Bell.

i cant handle it! the heat overpowers the flavor and thats one of the biggest rules in making american hot sauce. it may be different in japan, but wasabi covered sweet peas are like little psycho killers in my mouth.

if I want to sweat I'll hit the sauna,,,it's better for me...
anyone that can taste flavor over the flame is just engineered that way and you really don't know what it's like to hurt... I like cherry peppers with olive oil and onions,,,I put it on buttered rye to kill the heat,,,then it taste good,,,but just the pepper I don't taste anything but heat and pain...

haven't tried wasabi yet, but probably the most hottest food i've had would have to be a Tai pepper.
i tried half of one in a chinese restaurant once and that shit was Hot.

Damn straight, spesh after a spliff and before another spliff!

Weed seems to be the only pudding i need :D

I cook with it cometimes, grind it up and use it as a herb... in my stuff the spag bol and with lamb and my homemade curry's have it in. Sometimes it gets me high sometimes it doesnt because they're isnt enough fat, depends what im using it for but i like the flavour. Mind you i cant only do it with certain strains, some taste horrible eating but lovely smoking.

Wow, man... im fucked, i cant move my arms, only my fingers are going.

Ahhh, i love indicas. Bring me a plate of White Rhino and Northern Lights anyday.
