OMG...I am finally online!!! I spent all day hanging around my new house because the cable company in my area said the cable guy will be over at the house anytime between 10 am - 5 pm. That's all day of not being able to leave the house since I really did not want to miss him. Just wondered why they do this. Anyway, I was able to get some of the boxes unpacked. Amazing how much stuff I accumulated over the years.

I missed you guys. I have some good weed now too...I just have to find a lighter somewhere....

Well...kinda. A couple of broken furnitures OH and my speakers got dropped

:( but other than that, it is sooo nice to not hear the traffic (used to live right by the highway). Neighbors are pretty nice too. How was your Christmas and New Years?

Cable guy's are lazy ;) and its easier to give a range of time then a specific time, and I guess some places take longer then others, many contributing factors...mainly cable guy's are lazy ;)

Glad your move went smoothly, except for the odd breakage!

Jesus christ, I can't believe that. 10am-5pm? My sister ordered a matress a few weeks ago and the guys showed up at 1130 at night.

Hey Skink! My family is okay...so far. The funeral was soooo sad. I hate funerals anyway. Thank you for asking though! Boy, you're going to have to get a beeper for Buddy. My cat ran away too :( two days after I moved into the new place. I haven't seen her since last week and I am so worried. I hope she comes back.

Mattress guy at 11:30 at night, Make It Legal? Shit...that's kinda creepy!

My cat's name is Neko. I think she's out getting laid because she was in serious heat the last time I saw her.

I used to deliver furniture. Hardest job of my life.
This is why they say 'we'll be there from 9a to 5p'

The company does not know where your house will be in the order of delivery until they map it out that day. You could be the first stop or the last or something in the middle.

We used to map out the farthest home first and work back in to the warehouse to drop off the truck.

And then you never know what surprises you get at each house.
May take 5 minutes or an hours (apartment, 5 floors, no elevator)

Think you're the only place they are going that day?
We averaged 15 deliveries a day, with all 15 customers asking that same question. Like somehow the traffic will cease to exist so we can get to your house at exactly 11:15 am

And the mattress guys wanted to deliver that mattress so they would not have to reload the thing AGAIN the next day. What gets on the truck gets delivered.

Guys who have to deal with ignorant customers on delivery have shit jobs.
You'd never know until YOU had to spend a summer doing it. Sucks.

Cherry...where in NY?

I hope Neko didn't meet up with a pimp...

I hope she comes back soon,,,it is a helpless feeling losing your cat...

I'm in Binghamton area...thanks for explaining to me what delivery guys go through. I seriously did not know.

I made up some flyers for my cat to put all over the neighborhood. I dream about her and I feel so bad because it is going to start getting real cold outside.

Thanks Eric. I hope she comes home too. I miss her climbing up my legs when she wants food or attention.

I've been calling her frequently. She's not the smartest...

You know, I heard that some cats go back to their old neighborhood. Do you think that's true?

She may have memorized the whole ride or whatever they do "instinct" IDK...

I knew a person long ago that gave a dog away to a person 6/7 miles away and the dog got back on it's own...

Take a drive along the route if you can,,,you will feel better if you try,,,even if you don't find her but,,,I know you will...

if anyone lives in the house now, you could also try asking them if they've seen your cat around, like tell them the story and how you didn't move very far, describe your cat and ask if they've happened to notice it... if they have, then atleast you know where your cat is.
