Are in the same situation I am? My highschool pretty much sucks balls and randomly drug tests and you are guaranteed to get tested at least once during the school year. So it leaves me with two options one either quit cold turkey (which I did) over the whole school year until I get tested for my first time then begin again and stop after about a month or less of smoking. Normally kids only get tested once or twice. A few get really unlucky and have their name drawn many times. The second option is to just quit over the whole school year until summer. I chose the first option and all my other friends got their hair drug test before me and got to smoke again:( . SO i'm forced to wait until I get tested and it sucks not being able to I think about it at least once a day. Whoever invented hair drug tests should be castrated and thrown into a pit of rabbid starving ferrets.:mad:

Private school by the way sorry I forgot to mention that. I guess when you go to a private school you basically grab a jar of vaseline and bend over, since I pretty much think they can do whatever they want as far as that sort of stuff goes.

Haha funny. I got expelled from a a private school mid-freshman year and went there since 3rd grade. Things are much better at my new school. It was for possesion of paraphenilia by the way (a litte 3 inch ccg spoon).

Yeah I don't normally mess with any kind of drugs at school they got cameras out the ass and the dean gets bored and looks at shit. Only thing I've gotten at school is swisher sweets and some loratabs. No weed, I got my friends that go to another private school to hook me up:D

this is just me... but i'd tell them to fuck off.. tell them when they have a warrant i'll consent to the drug testing... otherwise i'd like them to show me in the constitution where it says students can be tested (without a warrant)... if i'm not doing the shit on school property, it's none of their goddamned buisness otherwise... i think the parents at these schools need to step up and say something.. i'm sure they might even agree with drug testing, but what rights/liberties will be taken away next? it's an invasion of privacy, any way you look at it... the only reason i agree with a pre-employment drug screen is because the job is paying you to be there, and most jobs involve doing 'dangerous' things daily... but school drug testing is bullshit anyway i look at it... unfortunately i'm only one voice, and i'm only one parent... if my kid ever ends up going to a school that's demanding drug testing, i will raise hell.. becasue it's clearly an invasion of rights....

give people higher fines/penalties for getting caught with drugs at school, fine i don't care, they deserve it... but it's not the school's place to step in and drug test every last student as they feel nessicary....

I never ever get tested or even questioned in school. They know we all smoke weed and come to class baked. As long as you do what you gotta do, they don't give a fuck, but if you're like the kid who spent the entire french class staring at his calculator... you're fucked...

My feelings exactly, what I do in my own time completely seperated from school should be my own god damn business and not the schools. So long as I keep the school environment clean of it which I do it shouldn't be a problem but I guess the principle feels it necessary no idea why. Already smoked twice at the beginning of the year so it obvioiusly doesn't deter me or any other student from smoking. The parents of course will applaud it because they want to know if their kid is doing drugs or whatever but the school shouldn't be the one turning over rocks and finding out it should be the parents. Simply said, my business is my god damn business:cursing:. I guess nothing can be done though really because I think you agree to certain things when you go to a private school. I guess I could always knock the hair collector out and switch hair samples? Just a thought :p

yea i got to a private school and they drug test but not everyone just people that are suspicious and are dean has his lil snitches everywhere so he knows like every thing
and when u go to a private school u basically sign a contract where they dont need no warrant or even parent consent to drug test u or search ure car or ne thing

did you ever sign a contract stating that they can randomly drug test you whenever they feel like it?

if you didnt then you can refuse, they can take it too court but they cant win because you never signed a contract, thats just a worst case scenario.
the bottom line is, grow a spine and stand up for your freedom!

I was watching Dazed and Confused a few days ago, and in the start of the movie, the QB of the football team, named Pink in the movie, is mad because the school is forcing them to sign papers saying they, "will not partake in and drugs, alcohol, or sexual activity after 12 that could jepordize....." In the movie, they are beng forced to sign and comply with the school. In the movie, the redheaded girl says, "are you guys actually signing this? What's next, will they give you urine tests?" :p

I just thought of that part for some reason. Same situation, but it's funny how watching that movie when it came out in the early 90's, how silly it sounded of the thought of urine tests in school.

I'm just glad I don't go to school anymore. I wouldn't subject myself to that in any shape or form, and if they suspend me for not complying, so be it. I always enjoyed a few days off from school. ;)

I don't know, I'd check to see if anywhere in any school policy anywhere, it says you're consenting to drug tests for entry into the school. Sure, it's not a public school, but I still think there needs to be something saying you're consenting to it, and if not, bring it up legally... talk it over with a lawyer, find out your options.

I just don't cut it for private schools. I went to one in 2nd grade and by the end of the year I got kicked out and they refused to take me back. Public schools are a lot better in my opinion, and from what I remember everyone at my private school were a bunch of spoiled pricks. Anyway, that sucks about your drug testing. I thought my school was shitty for randomly pulling people in and searching them without any reason at all.

So they judge their academic environment by the people that are in it other than the actual academics and intellegence that the people have? Even if there are potheads circulating through their academic environment, why would that matter unless they had non sufficient grades, but even then that has nothing to do with whether or not they smoke pot. I'm sure there are more non potheads with horrible academics skills than there are potheads that bring their academic environment down. Such shitty logic.

Wow they give everyone in your school a hair test atleast once. The parents of the kids must be pouring money into that school because hair tests are pretty expensive. And by the way hair tests can detect thc as far as a year back, even more I think just not sure exactly. If you have smoked with in the past couple of years it is likely you will test positive for a hair test. Good luck I guess.

Haha nah it only goes back 3 months, yeah my tuition is like 7,000 per year. Only reason I could come up with their "We don't want any druggies going around attitude" is they just don't want it polluting things? I have no idea of the innerworkings of the minds of the ignorant. Yeah I never saw any contract being signed, but then again my mom was the one who did all the paper work. As much as I would love challenging the school on the drug testing policy I just don't think I can do something like that. Just one day coming up to my mom and stepdad,"Hey! How about we go challenge the school's policy on drug testing?" Just for the fact my parents would think why I should care, they already are suspicious of me enough I mean shit my stepdad was a former pothead & eraserhead. For example I went to a hobby lobby today and got a little jar to put my stash in after I get tested and they find it and say stuff like what are you planning to put in here? When clearly the first thing running through their minds is weed.
