... Any more or less intelligent in any way because of weed?
A cop asked me this once and I smirked and told him I feel more intelligent which is the honest truth. Sometimes when I'm baked, I just read random things on Wikipedia to enrich my knowledge of everything....

How about you?

I always read random shit on Wikipedia...I also study better when I'm high cause I get absorbed in what I'm doing. My grades went way up in high school when I got in the habit of smoking every day. I do have a bad memory, but I had one before I started smoking.

For myself it made all the world of differance. I have bad anxiety and when I first started smoking I became really really ambitious and has given me more motivation. It balances me out, if I go to long without getting high I fall back into a state where Im very anxious and unmotivated

I'm smarter than everyone already without having to smoke. Smoking just makes me go on an ego trip. :p

I don't feel as sharp as I used to be. I used to do alot of public speaking, sometimes in front of thousands of people and be able to really do well. I don't think I would be able to speak as well as I used to.

I don't understand how someone can say "oh i feel much more intelligent". Maybe you feel like that, because it all goes on inside your head. If you got really stoned, and we went through a job interview, you would do horribly.

I guess it is even kill for me. When I am not high I am very energetic and joke around alot and do weird dance moves randomly and whatnot. When i am high I do precisely the same. I do have a short memory but much like Adelaide I had one before I started smoking I just began thinking about how short it was alot more after I started smoking. But now everything is good, I live a balanced life in college keeping my gpa up, and enjoying alot of time with friends who don't smoke as well as enjoying time with friends who do.

Just keep it as something you do at times in your life, instead of your life becoming this something you do, and you will be ok.

Wikipedia is the best.
Read for ages on there - anything i need to know i go for wiki.
When im stoned sometimes - i feel the need to make sure everyone back-ups what the say and then try to prove them wrong - for arguments sake.

I'm definately more intelligent because of weed, i know a lot more biology, botony, ratios, weights, maths, economics, general knowledge, etc. Also, my mind has now been 'opened' I have awoken from the sleep of the ignorance. I was intelligent before weed, i'm intelligent with weed.

i feel less intelligente, mostly because i dont think of simple things that would help. For example my lights were off in my room, and i went to turn one on, instead of turning on my table lamp, i stumbled through the dark to my wall switch.

The memory thing sucks to. i find it harder to concentrate a day after smoking.

Less intelligent. Whenever I'm in class i constantly zone out and begin thinking of the most random shit, and then whenever i come back into reality I'm like wtf what are we suppose to be doing?

I'm not less INTELLIGENT, but less focused. Because I find most things just aren't worth all that energy to focus on when you can do it monotonously and without exerting brain NRG.

My intelligence hasn't really been effected. I don't get too many effects from weed. It allows me to focus and clears my mind. So if anything it helps me. My memory may have been effected but my memory has always been shit and I think it's more my ability to focus then actual memory.

Oh and sorry to double post, but I spend ATLEAST 2 hours on wikipedia Monday-Thursday. It's my own special way of learning.

I believe that it all depends on whether you are 'thinking' 'working' in your mind. If you are visualizing something you are about to do/or build, pot is definately mind expanding. I can't tell you how many times i've had a stroke of genius while I was smoking. But at the same time, if you have to perform a motor function where your senses have to co-work, like driving, talking, explaining and putting together many separate ideas is difficult.
