I have a close friend who is (obsessed?) with this guy. Suddenly everything is the fault of 'The Bush Regime'.
I don't scoff at it because I haven't investigated it very far. I believe the government does stupid shit they don't tell us about, but I also think it might be better (for me at least) that way.
Gimme some more weed! I'll just watch the fireworks that are sure to follow.
Conspiracy theories are fun!
He's the guy who thinks that the Queen is a shapeshifting lizard being, as well as the Bushes, and any other rich and powerful individuals. Even if some of what he says makes good sense, he can never be taken seriously because of this.

Icke also wrote some bizarre thing about how the very location in Paris where Princess Diana was killed had been some lizard ritual site thousands of years ago. He gets his political shit *wrong* all the time, too.

I think the man is one of the few who really knows what's going on.... not that he'll succeed though, the lizard people will conqure the Earth soon enough with me at the throne, eating my tasty bowl of grasshoppers.

Icke is an interesting character, more for the "evidences" he tries to bring to light than his over-arching conclusions (reptillian aliens ruling the planet, etc.) Though on some stuff (and it's all over the place) he is factually mistaken - for example, alot of the etymological arguments in his works are bunk (ex. "such and such a word, in English, kinda sounds like some of these other words from old Egyptian, Persian, and Paleo-Hebrew - hence that means this is where the subject of that English word comes from!")
With all of that said though, I do think his characterization of many of the "powers that be" as being reptillian does constitute a really true allegory. It's kind of like Hunter S. Thompson - get all of the facts wrong while still managing to (in a sense) tell the truth. And the truth is, we are ruled by (mostly) souless people who don't care who they hurt to preserve what they believe they're entitled to...which seems to be, to their thinking, the world and everything in it (including you and I.)

I know someone who is very keen on David Icke's writings and also paid quite a bit to go to a three hour lecture! He says the 'loony' bits of Icke's writings are what stop him from being locked up or otherwise dealt with by the powers that be - most people dismiss Icke as bonkers therefore he is no threat, and he's safe.

I watch alot of his videos. He is a very intelligent individual. That being said, I don't "believe" everything, or anything he says. On the same token, I do not blindly disbelieve it. Just absorb the information and take it in.

you hit the nail right on its head, Furthermore, I believe he is the Lost King of Marduk, and is a badass who likes to bask in very warm temperates. Kinda like Buffy the Lizardman slayer, he has some qualities of his enemies in himself.

David Icke is a very very crazy person. I took him seriously, once, the first time I heard him talk, back when I was gullible and got into the whole 9/11 conspiracy thing. But of course I haven't been able to take him seriously ever again since I got cured of 9/11-conspiracy-itis and learned about his shapeshifting reptilian alien theories.

the history channel just had a whole special on secrete sociaties. david icke did most of the talking. Unfortunatly the way the history channel shot it made him look like a fool.
I Think there is more truth to what he says, verses the text books they gave us in school.
