It's probably tolerance, but maybe someone else knows why. I've been smoking for about 2 years now, and recently (Past 4 months or so) whenever I smoke I don't get blitzed out of my mind, or stoned to the bone. It's just sort of a dull high in which I know I'm high, but I can function perfectly. Don't feel great, just a little dull. Sometimes I get a headache afterwards. What are those headaches anyway, and is there any way to stop them? Anyway, any input would be helpful.
Oh, and there were a few times when I got blitzed out of my skull when smoking blunts, but whenever I hit my metal pipe it doesn't seem to do much of shit for me. Is it something I'm doing, or should I just roll or get a bong?

I suggest you take a few days off from smoking, exercise more, then go back. Thats my cure for when bud starts affecting me less, or if I get headaches.
As for the pipe thing, the method of smoking has nothing to do with how high you get (well, it does a little bit, but a pipe is one of the best ways!) Blunts contain A LOT more weed than any bowl I've ever seen, and I'm guessing your bong has a bigger bowl then your pipe. Plus, it's easier to take bigger hits from blunts and bongs.
Again, I suggest you take a day or two off and exercise a bit, then go back to smoking regularly, hopefully this bad stuff will stop happening. This is just my opinion, but if I had a bong, I wouldn't ever use my pipe anymore. Bongs are easier on the lungs and more fun.

that sucks. i smoke every day for like a year now and i my tolerance never changed. and i always smoked it out of blunts too. some days i might smoke a half of an ounce and other days i only smoke a blunt. but every time i still get real high. mabey the weed you are smoking now is less of a quality then the shit you had befor, cause not every single kind of weed you smoke is going to produce the same high, the shit is different. because i am pretty sure there is no such thing as tolerance. you just gain experience and you know whats going to happen to you. the only evidence i can see of tolerance is when you stop smoking for a while then smoke. but after that its the same. it could be all in your head or something

if you take a week or so break you will get higher, but i severly doubt you will ever get as high as those elusive first highs.

Just take a break, or cut back and dont smoke as often. Personaly, I dont get how people can smoke every single day.. I mean, I guess I'd be doing it if I could afford it, but I always try to take a day's break inbetween every session to make sure I get the full effects next time

Maybe switch up you're weed...
get some other stuff than what you're getting now
chances are it'll work cuz i had the same problem
and well it was the weed i was smokin not my tolerance
i dont see how you can say your tolerance hasnt changed then say some days a i smoke a half ounce maybe you just started out with an incredibly high one but smoking on like one bowl my first few times had me high for hours. a half a cant imagine. now i can now that whenever i get high on really good weed i am back to normal in under an hour even if i havent smoked in awhile, but my eyes stay red for about 4 hours after

What do you normally smoke out of?
What is the quality of the weed you are buying? Have you been getting from different dealers?

when i use to smoke but 2-3 times a year i would get so high i wouldnt even enjoy it, then i moved onto smoking just weekends in which i got super high all the time no problems but then i started smoking more and here i am today.
i still get high but not retarded like i use too

Stop smoking as much. Smoke smaller amounts.
all weed basically gets me high for the same amount of time, the difference is in how high i get, how good it tastes, whether or not it feels like my lungs are getting raped, and how tired i get afterwards. i normally buy good weed. or whatever is the best i can find around here. but im not buying any more until i go back to work

Are you kidding? Thats just plain not true, I agree completely with the rest of your post. That study on the efficiency of ways of smoking, is bogus you cant predict how high something will get you on THC content coming out the other end alone, theres so many other substances in weed, that contribute to that sensation we all love. That study said bongs were the worst at THC delivery, and bongs get me the highest, aside from vapes, soooo.
You arent getting high because of "tolerance" rather your body has gotten so good at processing the THC that it barely effects you anymore, take a week break and smoke, if you dont feel a difference its probably the quality of weed.
I havent smoked in 5 days, but tomorrow is monday which means theres a tasty half ounce waiting for me, a few glass bong hits and ill be giggling like a school girl.
Perhaps you are smoking a strain that has some ruderalis genes in it. Four Way is one of those strains. It's 25% ruderalis, and ruderalis can give you a headache. but yes, you should take like a week off. I took a week off. In fact, I still am. I'm just waiting for my friend to call me up, so I can get some. I'm sure that later tonight I will be more blazed than I have been for awhile, because I have abstained from it for about a week. It sucks, I know. But there's no point in smoking if it isn't doing the trick, right? ;)

Tolerence is a lie, i personally think it comes down to experience. If you have been smoking close to the same quality of weed, you are going to know what to expect. The first few times you get high, you really dont know what to expect, so you dont know how to function or anything yet. Try mixing up your experience while smoking. instead of doing the same thing, go o ut and try something new, try a new way of smoking, or mix something in with it. Drinking and smoking produce a completely diffrent mix of things then smoking or drinking alone, and there is many more combinations of stuff. I myself like a mix of 8 cordiceden pills ontop of smoking, it gives you the most increditable high.
Ive been smoking since i was 13, now 18, another thing i have realized, is its all in the people you smoke with. If your with the crazy fuckers that want to run around all night, over the people that just want to sit around and do nothing, they are two completely diffrent highs. Also maturity, back in the day, we were smoking because we thought it was cool, now when i smoke its because i like the feeling, and makes the boring in and outs of the day, more fun.
All in all, Smoking pot is what you make it. Your mind is a powerful tool in the search for a buzz. You can control most things that happen with your body and im sure there is more people that agree with what im saying.

when you are somewhat of a novice or intermediate smoker, there is a point in your high when your mood changes. it's more than just mood, our entire conciousness, our patterns of thought, they change. sometimes they become better and more relaxed, sometimes paranoid, sometimes really really strange in a great way and sometimes strange in a bad way.
i think you get to a certain point where you cross over and that is lost. i know for a fact that im at that point because i carry mood and consciousness right into my high now. instead i feel the same effects that used to come along with this mental transition like feeling really physically relaxed, seeing unfocused and enjoying things a lot more than normal.
i have taken long enough breaks to know that you never get that conciousness change again in all of your years of smoking. you need to start looking at pot in a different way now and start treating it accordingly. thsi is my advice becuase it sounds to me like you are going through exactly what i went through
