Finally got my new bong

Thank Ganja, that's rite. I finally have a new bong, i broke my last one :(
I've been using my bubbler since. Okay, i ordered this bong and it should have arrived on the 22nd of december, but it didn't. Today my mum had to drive down there and pick it up coz they didn't deliver it 3 times.. The slide they gave me is way to big for the bud and my glass screen. I didn't have any other screens but luckily i've kept the slide from my old bong and it worked. There was no bubble with the water though coz it's a short slide and it doesn't reach with the new bong. Anyways, i just wanted to make this thread coz bongs are my favourite way to smoke, each person has their favourite way and bongs are mine. I'm really happy and baked :D

Ha, yeah you're rite man. Well I always pack a 0.3 bowl, that's what does it for me, but i packed 2 just coz it's a special occasion.

what do you mean the slide is too big? it looks similar to mine!(its in my glass family thread).

do the slide fit in the bong? and you find the bowl too large? does it have a LARGE(diameter of a cigarette about) hole at the bottom of the bowl, and you cant use because of that? my bongs slide is like that, its kind of a let down that i have to use a screen with a glass bong until i can get a new dif/bowl combo, but in all honesty i really cant taste it.

i know eh that blows, same thing happened to me, there should be 2 standard bong sizes, over size and standard, nothin worse then buying a bunch of bong parts seperate then relaizing your slide is a hair to big to fit in your bong and you wont be able to go to the headshop for atleast another 2 weeks.

there ARE two standard bong sizes, in GonG its 14.5 and 18.8 (with some craaazzzyy oversize pieces having some new 29.2 stuff, but its easy to pick out). and for non gong its 9 or 12mm slide, ive never seen anything else. Not a personal attack but i don't really get what the problem is :S

well i guess you better tell that to all the novelty stores in my area, there are bongs of every shape and slide size, this isnt brand name stuff its different stores with different suppliers, my slide is approx a mm to big for the hole in my bong, and its not oversize, just cheap joke shop run of the mill bong parts.

i would go to high times and spend 150 on a bong but i would rather buy cheap peices that run about 30 bucks because then when it inevitably breaks its not a huge tradgety.

my bong was 40$ canadian, its 20" 14.5mm gong 3.5mm thick glass the slide it came with fits very well although the female joint DOES wobble a bit(doesnt affect the tightness of the seal though(and i thought it would). I also once had an 8" GonG bong i got for 20$ in a case, im sure you're aware of the kind i am talking about, those cheapies imported from china, it also has a 14.5mm slide and its slide fits mine perfectly. In fact, i once found out, that a beaker at a surplus store that was selling for 4$ had a GonG seal top, and that plug was 14.5 mm to.

Thats not to say it cant happen,i just havnt run into it, but your cases are the first ive ever heard of with this problem that the slide is a LITTLE too big for female. Keep in mind though, id tend to think that the BOTTOM of a 18.8mm slide wouldn't be much bigger than the TOP of a 14.5mm female, could this explain the phenomena possibly?

Anyway, Id email EDIT about it, they're nice guys and will prolly help you out, send you out a proper one or something.

I just ordered a screen from there, it should fit. Once i get that i'll use the original slide and put it in water. Until then i'm just taking dry hits but i'm loving it, it's not harsh at all. I like how this bong has a slide and a carb.

ahhhhhhhh so it is like my bong with a massive hole at the bottom of the slide! if you wanna smoke it before
go toss a beer bottle, and pick a chunk that fits in the bottom best, pack, and smoke away! just be safe, and dont toss the beer bottle AT anyone.

Well i got my slides and it bubbles now :D The only thing is i had to hold my lighter quite far away so the hash would light. Maybe just coz its hash instead of bud. If i held the lighter closer the flame would just go through and then go out. It was weird but it works now so i'm happy.

tahts just because the bowl is large. Bongs like this generate ALOT of suction, too much suction for the lighter. But as i can see you learned to jsut hold the lighter further away. And thats what you do. In my experience, if it has a large, steep walled bowl, you gotta hodl the lighter burther away. If the bowl is more like the usual shape, you can get the lighter deeper without it being sucked out.

I was going to get a ROOR but then i came to my senses and realized nearly 230$ is just to much for a bong.

whoa sorry dude, i didnt think you were askin me. not to threadjack but i got my bong at a local headshop here in toronto called THC (www.torontohemp.com). I guess if you reallllyy wanted to save the 10$ or something you could call them and get them to ship it, but if you wanna order online, this guys pretty much on par with mine http://everyonedoesit.com/online_headshop/Art_Glass__2Piece_Recliner_188.cfm?iProductID=4181 , cept tis a bit shorter and has a bent neck. although those "bushmaster" guys also make an 18" "super chunky" that looks verry nice!(if my bong broke id probably replace it with that)

my bong is literally the same as this guys(threadstarter), but with an extra couple of inches on top, and a lip around the mouthpiece instead of a taper.

if you wanna order a bong off the net, the best two places IMO are EDIT and weedcity.com.
