Well, I was talking with this chick I used to work with at my old job, She is a long-time smoker and lover of the plant and asked If I wanted to indulge in some harder drugs but I declined. After she said that she used to be like me only smoking weed but that after many, many years of strong use weed starts getting "dull" or not as "satisfying" and a need for stronger kicks is seeked.

She still smokes weed but also indulges in harder drugs that I wont go into detail about...

If it was someone else I would just blow off but this is a many moons long toker, So I put alot of stock into what she says.

At some point does a user get unsatisfied and looks for more? Or does it just depend on the drug user?

No, all that gateway shit is in your head. My wife has been smoking for years on end now and she's never even inclined that she wanted to try anything else. The only other illeagle drug I've tried was acid and it wasn't because I was bored with Pot, it was because I had read up on it and decided to try it out.

Bottom line, it's quite possible to stick to weed only. It's whatever you wanna you.

No, it all depends on the user. No 2 bodies are alike in this worls, and we all crave and get urges for different things. Some people get bored with it, some people don't.

I know a lot of my old friends still smoke cannabis, but they got bored and moved onto other things, that I won't mention here. Myself, I've never been into harder drugs. I'm 24, and I've never done Ex, smoked c****, or m***, or H. The only hard drug I've ever done in my life, is b***, and I hated it. Complete waste of money and time.

The one thing I've stuck with is cannabis, and I will for the rest of my days. I will never drink again, or do lines again, ever!

I knew a guy who had been smoking cannabis since he was 11 (bad babysitter), and for 28yrs, he smoked, and only did cannabis. He never dove into harder things or got the urge to.

I'm content smoking pot and only pot. Other things are too damaging and boring compared to cannabis.

My theory is simple. People who are likely to try smoking some herb, are more likely then someone who doesnt do anything to drop some acid, or take some boomers.

Cannabis is not a gateway drug. Period. This is not to say, however, that users of cannabis are not more prone to try hard drugs than non-users of cannabis. However, the "gateway" is not the substance itself, but rather the legal status of the substance. Consider: You want to purchase cannabis. Where do you go? A dealer. But not all dealers sell only cannabis. Several also sell cocaine, pcp, opium, meth, ketamine, etc. This means that when some people wish to purchase cannabis, they inevitably come into contact with hard drugs, which increases the probability that they experiment with hard drugs. If cannabis were legalized, however, cannabis users would instead go to Walgreens and never come into contact with hard drugs.

I think cannabis is a gateway drug.... and it's irrelevant because EVERY drug is a gateway drug. I guarantee that if somebody tries alcohol, nicotine, weed, or ANY other mind-altering substance, their curiosity will almost inevtiably be sparked later for trying other things.
