do this..
a friend at work needed some money and was straight broke
on lunch break he went to washington mutual and opened an account
with 5 dollars.3 in savings and two in checkings haha
as soon as the account was open like 20 minutes he had a set of temporary checks and the bank would cover him 100 dollars of overdraft
so he wrote me a check for a 100 and i cashe dit for him
he now owes the bank the 100 plus 30 so 130.00

then he went to the payday loan and wrote another check for 300
and the gave him 255.00
so this broke person now has 355.00 and must pay back 430.00

kind of a waste of money but in a jam [like the connection got some bombass bud or unexpected vegas trip ] this might be ok

if you actually needed the money, yes you could this... but, watching my grandma run herself into major credit card debt, i pretty much decided, if i didn't have the cash money to pay for something, i wouldn't be getting it... owing anyone, even a company, money is about one of the worst things you can do in life... good rarely comes from owing anyone money... but that's just my own personal views.... i pay my debts, and i pay them as soon as i can.. i don't like owing anyone money.. not even 5 dollars to my best friend..

Once upon a time I was in need of some money for weed, so this is what i did: I went to a furniture store where I had a charge account at, charged on my account a brand new DVD player, which came with a free DVD, then I got home took it out of all the sealeed plastic, and pawned it off at the local pawn shop...I needed a new DVD player anyway, I got it out of pawn the next month. It still is rather sad lol

terrible, terrible idea. if you are having money problems, why create more money problems for yourself? makes no sense. go cash in your beer/pop cans or something.

i would only do that, if i was going to go buy some good fucking cheap ass drugs... find some way to cut it a little bit, and then take that 100, and make 200, and then flip the 200 into 4, and then go pay the bank off... (but then agin, that would only work if you know how to hustle... i went from 5 dollars, -100 dollars, a pcoket full of dank fucking bud, an MP3 player(ipod Nano) in one fucking day)

lik ei said, if you ACTUALLY need the money... not sure exactly why you'd need the money that bad, or what could cause you to create more of a money situation knowing you have to pay it off or suffer the consequences... like i said, if you ACTUALLY need the money, just that bad..

lol you went from 5 dollars to negative 100 dollars (-100) that doesn't sound like a very good money making story :p

If you need money, then do this.

Go to the hardware store and buy a dozen or more of those peepholes that are in apartment doors. You know, they allow you to see who is knocking at your door.

Now, most houses don't have these on their front doors. Take along a cordless drill and proper sized bit, and a tube of glue, and go knocking on houses in the neighbourhood offering to install a peephole in the front door for $20 (or however much). Keep going till you've sold all your peepholes.

Practice putting them in a scrap piece of wood before doing anybody's house, so you get a nice clean installation.

lol thinking outside the box... and offering something people actually need (i.e. no dishonesty to it, no offense owl, not saying what you're doing is dishonest or less in anyway, just saying ya know, this is like a kid who goes out mowing lawns for money) i like that!

You'd be better off just working as a day laborer. I did this an entire summer before. Talked to a landscaper, not a company/business, but just some dude who worked outta his truck and garage. He'd call me in the morning, and tell me where to show up. Usually i could walk, or get a ride to the location and he'd have 2-3 projects in the same neighborhood.

I'd work from like 8a-8pm and get paid $7/hr under the table. So basically $75 a day free and clear. While it doesn't sounds like a lot, doing it 6 days a week adds up, and no taxes. EVERY town large and small has someone doing this.

It's been said, but Friendowl is no addict. He's a good guy actually.

I used to do this when I was about 16. Luckily I never went to jail for it as it was small amounts. I had 2 different accounts, wrote a check from one, deposited it into the machine to the other, and my bank allowed me a max. of $100 to take out until then check cleared. Of course I got busted when it said insufficiant funds from the other account, but I always paid it back.

Not the smartest thing to do either. It can give you bad credit if you do it often enough and in large amounts of cash. Luckily for me, I always paid it back when I got paid and in small amounts.

There are easier, safer ways to get these days though. Around here, we have pay out centers, not bansk really, but places where you can do payday loans, like Money Mart for example does that. As long as you have 2 of your latest pay stubs from work, and 2 recent bank statements showing you have an account, they will lend you up to 50% I believe of your 2 week earnings.

Some people need the money though. Just because someone decides to pull a small scam on the bank doesn't mean they are addicts. Believe it or not, some people don't make much money and need money to well, eat. :p If you don't work or have no source of income, then you shouldn't even think about starting to do this. It will just get you in a deep(er) hole.

This would be a bad idea, because if you owe money to one bank they put your name in this list called checks. It's online and when you open up a new account at a different bank, the teller checks your info with this list, if you owe money they wont let you open an account.

When I am stretched I write a check at the store for over the amount,,,cash back,,,I got 3 days to cover it,,,so it's like a three day loan...

some times when you make a deposit the bank alllows you to have a sertain amount of it right then.
on friday night after the bank closes, go put 1$ into an envelope and put that your depositing 200$ the bank should give you 80$ right off the bat. take the 80$ and repeat at a different atm location. Saterday doesn't coun't as a busness day, so you have untill 8am monday till all your transactions go through and they find out that you didn't put 200$ into and envelope, and you will owe money.

ware somthing over your face, or have a freind do it, call them on monday morn and say "I lost my card over the weekend", then tell them that these transactions were not right.

Its a good idea if someone is willing to sell you a pound of dank for 300 dollars and you only have 5 dollars. You flip 2 ounces and you've already paid it back, profited and have 14 ounces left.

Obviously that would almost never happen though, but it doesn't have to be pound, someone might have a really good deal for you to where losing $75 is worth it because you'll end up profiting in the end.

Or even if you were short $100 or so, you could do that too.

I got a $1000 dollar overdraft protection with Washington Mutual. So, I just go in there when I need more money. Those cash advance places are the worst. They create a need for someone to continue doing them payday after payday cause you pay the loan back but need the money right away so you do another loan for 300 and get 255. Another 45 dollar charge every payday and you some people cant get away until they decide not to pay a loan back which affects your credit adversly.

We just cut back if we get short. Winter months are the hardest on us and I try my best to save what I can during summer. Sometimes I'm not so good at it. This year I promise to be better. I promise to even bake my own bread and sweets. <gack>. Gotta save where we can with electric goin up 23% in the very near future.
I'd never ever go to one of those "Loan "places or "Car title" places. I'd juggle cards if I had to first.
We all have to learn to live within our means. Sometimes it's hard but we have to do it. I long ago stopped trying to keep up with the "does". Ya know?
Happiness is inside. We all have to work for money. The honorable way is best by my personal standards.

I think I've come up with quite a novel idea...

It's something called a... job? I think it's "job" or "yawb," I'm not sure, though.

Ignore my dripping sarcasm...

LOL

That's what i was thinking..

Do the Math.. it seriously would be more effective to collect tin for recycle.

Or in michigan it's 10 cents per can/bottle. Ever seen the seinfeld episode where kramer tries to do it with newmans mail truck. packs it full of cans from ny and tries to go to mich but never makes it. That would be very illegal but if you get cans from in the state of MI you could eventually accumulate some money.
