New grower here, finally have my room almost completely set up. I have friends who tell me they spend 30-40 hours in their rooms. Now, again, I am new to this... but I just don't know that there's even 30 hours worth of work in my room right now.
Here is what I do in my garden:
-Inspect for any problems with plants
-Fill up water resivoir, test ph, add nutrients etc
-Rotate plants from outside to inside, so they get even light.
-Trim some bottom leaves.
-Water them
-Spray with Einstein oil to prevent mites from getting into my crop.
Can you guys please explain what you do, and how long it takes? I want to do everything in my power to make these ladies have a nice life. They are two weeks into flowering, I am expecting more work will pop up later.
Thanks

When I get a job it will be different, but right now I probably spend at least 2-3 hours in there every day to gaze at and take care of 3 plants. Some days it's closer to 4-5 hours. Add the time I spend planning things and reading/posting here and that goes up to pretty much my entire day! Ha, well, almost.
But I only *need* to be in there for say an hour each day. I have some clones on the go as well.

Yeah, i'm in the same exact position as canuk, but i have like 30 plants to gaze/care for, so at times, it does require a good amount of time

Yeah, I have thirty plants as well so most of my time is just looking at them making sure everything is okay. I have decided to leave most of the leaves on, so that is something that would take up a shit load of time that I really am not going to do. I am guessing the bulk of the work picks up when the ladies start to really kick into high gear with flowering.

How much time do you spend in your garden?
lol
As much as possible!!!!
I sit on an upturned bucket with my coffee every morning and string train my scruffy moms just because I like to be in there where its warm!
Hey don't even think about cutting off leaves!!! Not good for your plants! You should bend them over instead.
So the real answer is maybe 2-3 hours a day puttering and then a solid 3-4 hours on the weekend really WORKING plus all the reading, logging, etc.

Hey Razz, hope you had a nice trip. Stinky I will retern a line later on today.
I spend about 20 hours a week approx hands on give or take. That doesn't account for the hours I spend online researching and finding new techniques. Once girls are in flower I just check them 2 times a day, once when lights come on, leafe examination, checking bud development, rotating plants and fans, and a little for play before I go to bed. I spend more time with them when they are in veg, or just in my veg/clone/mother cab. I am checking root development, misting, topping, cloning and so on. Once they are in flower it is like cruze control IMO.

Yeah, I did not do my own clones this time around, so I didn't have to invest a huge amount of time in during veg. Lots of time was spent making plans for the room, and also setting up the room. Next time I will do my own clones which will take a bunch of time. But, during flower... what are some things I can do to make sure things are rolling smoothly? I might run into some problems with head space, so I was considering starting to bend them down a little bit, but I am a bit unsure of how to do so with so many plants! (34)
