Nirvana Papaya SCROG !!!

Well, I'm back with a NewGrow for the NewYear. This time I'm gonna try a little SCROGin and see if I can get more/bigger buds. The sprouts came up on The first day of the Year so I will make that day 1 of VEG. I'm going with 3 seeds but I only need one female. To tell you the truth, I will be mad if I get 3 females cus I would have to kill one ;) . I only want one plant under the screen but I think I can fit 2 if I had to. I gotta get some new piCs of the plants, but I need new batteries for the cam. Here arew some piCs from about 3 days ago. And the way the cab looks now:

Lights - 150w HPS, 65w CFL (Coolwhite@6500k) - I will be using both during the VEG and Flowering. I will use the 150w in the last week of VEG.

Strain - Papaya: This strain is known for growing pretty fast during VEG so I hope I can get it flower just after 4 weeks of VEG and some of the screen coverd.

That's going to be a fun project. Honestly Nirvana's Papaya seems to have a bit of phenotypic variation and I got one killer sticky stinky amazing female in my pack, and a bunch of solid but nothing to write home about others. You're well off to save your extra female as a mom for future projects in case she is The One! :D

Day 5 of VeG -

Todays piCs show the babies are happy even tho a bit streched but I got the light closer now :p . Update with piCs will be up every friday (I hope) plus another update each week which makes 2 updates a week, I don't have no time ;) . This grow is right on track, I'm hoping to have everything choped/dried/cured good enough for 4/20 :jointsmile: Stay high Peeps...

The babies are doing really good right now, better then I thought they would be doing :) . Yesterday marked the statr of the 2nd week for the sprouts and they are taking off. On this grow, I don't plant on using ferts a lot but only when I think they need it. probably just 1 time during VeG stage (1 time during middle of 3rd week) and 4 times during the flowering stage (first 4 weeks/1 time a week). If I have to VeG longer, then I might give them 2 feedings during VeG. But Papaya is known for growing fast in the VeG stage so I hope it just goes 1 month. Stay on the look out for piCs on friday. This grow is just sailing right now :D ...

Nice work! Hope you get the femmes you want, and not the runty ones I got - but don't trash them if theres too many. Make it a mommy. My papayas should be dry enough to try em out here soon, and looks like I popped some new seeds same day you did - 4x Oaxacan Sativa and 1 unknown bagseed, so it'll be interesting to see the seedling growth side by side with the different strains

Thanks Tokudai, how I hope your new beans grow out to be what you are looking for :bonghit: . Another Friday here so fast, I'm back with an update and piCs. Things are going really well for me and the baby plants that are ready to grow and become full blown adults (soon I hope, I gotta get these kids outta my house :lol: ). All 3 babies are doing great, the streching has stop and node spacing is really close together now. If I had remembered to start them off closer to the light, I believe they would haev been bigger then they are now. They already waste some energy growing upwards :( , but it's ok for now. This is a learning grow for me so that when I get my own place and I'm outta school, I will know the tricks of the trade and have a master indoor garden like some of you guys and gals on this site :D . - Day 19 of VEG

1 week later and I'm back to up the date :D . The plants are doing good under the new 100w MH I bought today from Lowes for $99. SO now we have 250w of HPS & MH in my little 2'x2'x3' cab and I believe things will start growing alittle faster and stay lower. Temps went up alittle about 5 more degrees but I turned a fan on and things are keeping cool. When the plants get alittle bigger, I will LST them and for maybe 1 week and then throw them into flowering to see which one will be my SCROG baby . Here are the piCs :

Yup Yup, security is need to grow indoors and I have none. I didn't like the way the plants wer going so I didn't even give them a chance. I'm almost never home now so the grow has ended , but I'm ok . I must have been doing something wrong because those things were growing so slow. I don't see any grows coming up for me until I have time to do it right (maybe the end of this year around september). My grow cab is empty ...

Dude, what happened? Couldnt give them the time they needed? Ohwell. Papaya would have been waiting for. I think I noticed in 2week pics I seen some yellowing on tips of some leaves? what was your soils pH at? Good? Just wait a few weeks and you should see something from me again. After my weed was cured Bro, it was all gone in one work week in my small town. It was the best going around at the time. I have another project I am working on right now. I bought a 1997 Eagle Talon for $260 from a dealer during a blizzard sale and I have to install a timing belt and see if the valves are messed up. If so then I have to buy a engine and install it. Thats where my weed is going too. A newish vehicle. Its pretty good condition. Peace out!
