The worst for me was when I got my right side of face crushed in. I couldn't eat solids for about 3 months. I had to wait about a week or so until I had to go into surgery to get it fixed. The feeling of not being able to open your mouth more than an inch sucked ass. Not that it hurt, but simply because of my face being crushed in, it only opened so far without the bone grinding my top jaw line. So yeah, very painful. :p

Long recovery too. All in all, it sucked nuts.

Mine was having my appendix rupture, which just doubled me over in pain. The resulting peritonitis and pain from the huge surgery I had to have to clean everything out wasn't fun, either.

damn that made me cringe, that sounds fucked man.

mine was when i crushed my fingers and broke them and i ahd to go to the clinic, where they didnt have drill bits to drill into my fingernails to release the pressure so they heated up paperclips and used those

I was at my Boy's house out west. We were down the street gathering fire wood since theres nothin but wood all around. It was a small old pick-up truck so I stayed in the bed of the truck and was standin up and shit. When we got to the fire pit he turned real quick and I went flying out of the back since I was standing and not holding onto anything, did a flip in the air and kinda landed on my shoulder and rolled. And the back left tire almost ran my foot over.

It was half as bad as what it could of been. Im lucky I kinda did a tuck and roll but I couldnt talk for about 2 minutes and couldnt feel the right side of my body for a while.

i think it was the time that i was about 20 feet up in a pine tree and my homie shot me with a paintball gun and i fell down, through most of the branches and onto his head, which happened to hit me in the ballsac.
luckily we had a good supply of tequila.
i won that fight because my scrotum colliding with his cranium knocked him out.

The most pain i've been in was probably when i broke my back. Since then if i move awkwardly im in the same amount of pain.. not being able to move.

OR, the time i got my hand eaten by a fly wheel and a fan belt in a engine.

Although, when i was a kid i was burning oil and dropped it on my leg... at first it didnt hurt, so i ran to the bathroom and i got a towle... tryed to rub the oil off and my skin came with it.

That took about 3 months to heal... that was pretty bad, although it wasnt so much the burn, more the skin just rubbing straight off my leg.

so out of all my accidents [yeah, therea quite a few lol,] probably my back is the worst... When you cant sit down, cant stand up, cant lay down, cant fly away... fuck, the most unbearble pain i've ever been in.

I have been fortunate enough to not have many run-ins with pain. Two that stick out are when I was younger:

First was in preschool where the playground had a wooden plank bridge held together with ropes. I was going to take a short cut to the slide and hop onto the side of the bridge instead of just going across. Well, the loose plank flew up and knocked my ass to the ground where I lay for a couple of minutes with everyone laughing at me. Not much after that except a huge knot on my head. Oh and they got rid of the bridge after that, I felt bad thinking that it was my fault...

Another time, first grade I think, this ~300 pound man was standing on a dolley facing out. I told him that I "bet I can push you around". For some reason unknown to probably both of us he obliged and leaned back further onto the dolley and then fell on top of me.

Nothing broken but a handle hit me in the head and my leg still has an imprint from the bar of the dolley where it was pinned onto the ground. I couldn't walk right for about a week, had a burning sensation and took my breath away every step.

Nothing else really worth mentioning, most of you have better stories than mine already. I do notice that my head always seems to be a target though, like airsoft rifles, footballs, and yes even a tonka firetruck lasso which is basically a toy firetruck being swung around in circles by a rope.

the most pain i have ever been in was when i was sitting in the back of a car
in the middle seat
the driver was taking the piss and going real fast showing off to all his other friends that were in the car
anyway we were coming up this slight hill at about 90mph when we reached the top the car took off the ground missing the sharp bend in the road
we went flying into this ditch hit this big boulder , i got catapulted thru the front window, the window went flying when i hit it , as the car jerked backwards i got pulled back into the back seat slicing my right ear partly off as my head hit the roof
that was the worst pain i have ever been in
then there was the time that i got my top left hand side of my lip bitten off by a dog, that really hurt the next day ,i was pissed when it happened so i was more shocked about it than being in a lot of pain lol
(this is a real interesting thread :D )
cheers all :)

Probably after I broke my leg and started walkin on it when I was in preschool... I don't remember the pain only being in tears because I'm assuming I went into shock.

My wisdom teeth were taking out today and they hurt a little bit from time to time, but more so than anything I'm just angry/bad mood right now >< How come this vicodin is such shit.

from partial amputation of my finger....it wasnt the axe going through, it was when i was at the hospital ready to be stitched up and they were giving me shots to numb my finger. 4 on the sides of my finger, but then they stuck it directly into the wound. that was the worst pain ive ever felt.

probably when i biffed an x-up over a ramp at this dirt track and the dirt was cold and frozen and i bashed my head and landed hard on my arm and then rolled in a summersault fashion like 3 times. thats the most painful thing i can remember. AND one time when i was skateboarding the board came out from under me and i hyper extended my shoulder and knocked the wind out of myself. i thought i was going to die. but other than that, i don't get hurt too often, i'm pretty solid.

for some reason a certain ammount of pain all feels the same to me. I don't think I've actually been in real pain yet, but I've fucked myself up a bit. Tore up my ankle playing football as well as my knee, got stung like 30 or so times by a bunch of wasps, sliced my thumb in half lengwise, and accidently stabbed myself a number of times, but all scraped and bruised compared to some folk.

The most painful thing to ever happen to me was when I caught my thumb in a hydraulic press. It popped the nail out the back and broke my thumb. The doctor told me that if it would had went down any further, I would not have a thumb right now.
The 2nd most painful thing to happen was when I re-broke my collar bone in a car accident only a month after it healed.

I am a lifetime biker (I'm 44) and I have had my share of smashes, Ive broken a lot of bones and I even had my arm driven over by a Mercedes that had just knocked me off my bike
I consider my pain threshold to be very high, I removed a plaster cast for a broken wrist after 14 days because I couldn't handle not being able to work or ride my bike. :D
I have pulled my own teeth and I used two knives and a razorblade to remove a stone that was embedded in my foot after an accident. Home surgery is common with me as I have an absolute hatred of doctors and hospitals.:o
Doctors like to practice everybody will agree,
But I'm not having doctors practicing on me.
I have also had a 60 foot cliff fall while climbing in Spain and I smashed up my legs pretty bad, they're all better now but it hurt like hell at the time.
However the worst pain is the pain I feel almost every day from a trapped nerve in my back, the pain starts in my back but spreads down both my legs and I feel like a friggin invalid because it's the first time in my life I have ever been stopped dead in my tracks by pain.

Mine would have to be when i was playing a rough game of waterpolo and i was duking it out with some guy throughout the game. He had thrown a couple hard punches to me in the throat and i couldnt breathe too well. I decided i would slyly headbut him. I headbutt him twice, causing me large amounts of excruciating pain and making my vision fuzzy. Then he subbed out because he had a split skull. Then another guy got in to avenge him, he pretty much grabbed my genitals and pulled. I screamed, elbowed him in the eye then passed out after slowly making my way to the edge of the pool. I went to the hospital and got some surgery and im fine now. Im really not an angry kid or mean, its just how the game is played. I think im generally a very nice passive kid, but you just reach the point where you cant take all that crap and you need to dish it out. damn that hurt

i got my heart broken. that was the most emotional pain i've ever been in.

the most physical pain ive ever been in was when i broke my neck. i had to get pins drilled into my head for the halo to immobilize my neck, well i was drugged outta my gourd. but the next day they had to tighten the pins, yowza. that shit hurt. i could literally hear my skull cracking.

the most pain i was ever in was when i was streaking naked thru the backyards in my neighberhood and i was in a yard with a pitbull. he pounced and got a grip with his teeth on my ballsack and ripped that sucker right off. he ate the sack and one of my testicles. i retrieved my right teste before running away like a madman. the second most painful was the operation for my prosthetic ballsack. i still have my right testicle, in a jar, on my shelf.

Mine are fairly tame compared to most of yours.:p

When i was in Kinder (about 5-7 years old hehe) my fuckhead next door neighbours strangled me with a piece of rope..i have a picture around somewhere with a massive red cut around my entire neck. I still have no idea why they did it.

Around the age of 10 my sister dropped a 10ft heavy piece of wood onto the very top of my head. It just so happened to have a 2 inch nail sticking out the end of it! All i remember is running around watching the blood dripping onto the ground.

Also had a needle shot out of a mulcher that went straight down my throat. Extremely unlucky odds, and i couldn't swallow for the next 2-4 hours. Doctor had to remove the pin in my throat without anaesthetics:p

Had my fair share of cycling accidents! The one that stands out the most was when i attempted to jump over a 3ft metal bench, but i didn't make it and tried to put my foot down onto the top of the bench. Little did i realise, but i put my foot straight into the gap of the bench and landed DIRECTLY onto the top of my coccyx/tailbone. At the time, i sort of just stood up straight away because there were about 25 people watching. AS soon as i stood up, there were massive shots of pain radiating straight up my spine and down my legs. It was unfucking believable..the pain was just so unbareable because unless i was only moving my arms, the pain was just excruciating. It was impulses upon impulses of waves of pain and i could feel it crunching.
The worst part of it was probably the total of about 3-4km of walking my bike home on 1 foot! Couldn't walk properly for at least 2-3 weeks and whenever i did, my coccyx crunched. I assumed i broke it, but there was no point in seeing a doctor because you can't do anything for a broken coccyx:mad:

Jesus -...very unlucky odds?
lol

while skating at a fairly high speed, i 1080'd into a concrete pillar trying to avoid a lady with a pram, tore a bit of my ear and left a nasty indent in my skull behind my ear. my ear essentially got torn because of the force that was forced against it from my skull and the pillar. there was alot of blood, i dont' think i've ever bled that much in my life... oh wait i have, there was the time i got my wisdom teeth out, after i left the dental hospital, i parted my lips abit and blood just started dripping out, i coldn't just spit it out as everything in my mouth was swollen so i had to stream it out kinda like a fountain. my mother nearly threw up when she saw all the blood that was streaming from my lips. i had to regularly "empty" my mouth of blood and saliva 3 times hourly for about 24 hours. the pain was too much, the painkillers didn't help all that well.

but all the stuff i've been through doesn't even compare to the horror stories i've just read. we've got a lot of brave men in here.

I'm clumbsy, but not to a deadly degree like some of you crazies :P
I've never had a big accident so here are some of my small ones

I've stepped on carpet tacks when I was maybe 6, I had my ovary "pop" out of the sac and had to deal with the pain from that, then the surgery at 7 (the joys of being born 2 months early), I got a concussion at 13-14 from tripping while snowboarding down basically an all ice slope, landed on my stomach, pushed my legs back with the board and whacked myself in the head with it, and at 15 i stabbed myself in the wrist with a steak knife on accident so deep that I could see each tendon moving (luckily my tattoo covers the scar) Needed stitched but didn't get 'em cause I had court the next day..Honestly the most painful was stabbing myself in the wrist, + it was the most recent.

Mike, you should know i'm looking for context clues in every post you make as to your location. Once i find it, i'm contacting your neighbor on all sides of your house to see if what you said is the truth. If i strike gold, and find the neighbor in question, i'm going to help them 100% with prosecuting you, and i guarantee you WILL do prison time.

I've got three, each over a greater duration

1) Hernia operation. The pain was so bad that I couldn't walk for a week. Doctor gave with Tylenol w/ codeine, which did absolutely nothing. Still gives me sharp phantom pains when I move into semi-awkward positions.

2) Strained lower back. Snowboarding accident during my first season on the slopes. Couldn't walk for a few days. Hurt to walk for a few months. A year later, I thought it was healed.. so I went jogging and my back was shot back to square one.

3) IBS since 7th grade. The cramps feel like my stomach is about to explode. The (4-10 times/day) diarrhea burns like hell (and the burning lasts for a few hours). It's an off and on thing (months on, months off), but when it's on it's every day no matter what I eat or do.

Nothing serious, but enough (combined with major depression since 15) to make me constantly question the worth of living.

I like inflicting pain because I am a sadistic bastard , the people I like hurting most are those who pick on weaker people, bullies of any description and moronic little shits who think it's fun to hurt animals.

Anyone who tries to defend the actions of such retarded people are as worthless as those who do it, I would like nothing more than a chance to make them feel exactly how thier victims feel.

Lol, think what you like. Another idiot as far as im concerned. Hardly barking orders, maybe being forceful with what i say, but it doesnt bother me.

Like i've said before, what i say and the way i say it doesnt affect me what so ever, it only affects the silly little idiots that read it and take it to heart, and their the ones who post posts like yours.

Before i was joking, and didnt think anything about you, concidering your only a new member and i've never seen you post before.

Im not getting owned in the global warming thread, i have my pesonal beliefs and as i said in that thread, i couldnt give a rats arse what happens to our planet. I wont be alive for much longer so it doesnt bother me either way.

It was going to happen eventually, and chances are theres already too much damage done, IF we have caused it.

Anyway, i supose your just going to reply and say this is another of my "little games of intellectual leverage"

Anyone who seriuosly thinks im smart enough to do this please raise your hand..

And the whole "I'm gunner call the police on him" thing, thats something a 6 year old would do, stalk someone to get "evidence"

It's like your in a group of kids playing goodies and baddies. It's funny, but also disturbing that you care enough to do that to someone.

The most pain for me was probably when I had my eyelid cut open during a soccer game back in high school. I don't remember much, but I DO know it was so much pain I passed out several times while the doc glued my lid back together.

But in retrospect, it's not really anything toooo painful. Really it makes for a better story, but I do have a scar that draws attention, haha. ~

the most pain i have been in has got to be when i completely snapped my phemur bone in half (strongest bone in your body) and was only a few mm from tearing out of my skin the pain was so unbearable i was fading in and out and the doctors gave me the max amount of painkillers they were allowed to and dam that didnt really even help much. Then to top it all off after my bone was reset and was in traction on the way to the OR the doctor for some reason picked up the weights holding my leg up and in place well needless to say my leg went smashing down on the bed and the bone went back outv of place tearing back trough my muscles. I started flipping out swearing yelling in the middle of the hostpital. Then all i remember is a doctor coming to me with a needle dunno what was in it but it knocked me the fuck out. And also my mom told me the doctor that picked the wirghts up was fired in the hall onspot this happened back when i was 11 or 12.

I stabbed myself in the leg with a pencil when i was about 8, and i still have the graphite in my leg. It snapped off inside and healed over, although that didnt really hurt.

I had a csyt on my tailbone. It hurt like a mother to remove it and to take care of the wound after it was removed.

I would say that my labors were the most painful, but I chose to go med free because it's better for the progress of the labor, actual birth, and of course for the baby. My son's labor was 9 hours induced with pitocen. Pitocen contractions HURT, but, I was also on mag. sulfate because I had pre-eclampsia. I did not request any pain meds, because I wouldn't call it painful, but it was intense. My daughters labor was only about 28 minutes from the first contraction to her birth. It was MUCH more intense, but I still wouldn't call it painful.

Top Four:

1. Quitting Drinking
2.A complicated miscarriage
3. Having to put my beloved dog of 16 years to sleep
4. Having to remove life support from my beloved mom

Life is not for the faint of heart!

2.A complicated miscarriage

I'm sorry for your loss. My miscarriage was more painful than my live births, which suprised me a great deal.

I've never broken any bones or given birth or anything of the sort. I'd have to say before I had to get a root canal, the pain from my tooth kept me up for days...but that's nothing compared to what some people have said.

I would have to go with the asthma attacks I used to get when I was younger. Sometimes they would be so severe that I would be in the hospital for days unable to breathe properly. It's one of the worst feelings one can experience, in my opinion.

I am really lucky I haven't gone thru anything quite as bad as most of you. I am kinda in disbelief at all the crazy shit that has happened to everyone. The worst pain I think I was in, was when I had to get freezing shots in my foot before getting stitched. I needed stitches cause I sliced the bottom of my foot open on the HEAD of a nail...sounds painful but I actually didn't feel a thing. When the docs went to freeze my foot, they missed the spot a couple times so I think I ended up with 4 freezing shots for an area that only needed 5 stitches. It's fucked up that something that is supposed to save you pain, is actually the most painful part.

I'd like to remind everyone that the starter of this thread, mike23artist, claims to have murdered his neighbors dog simply for barking, and then proceeded to participate in a post where he told with glee how much he enjoys torturing small animals.

Have a nice day.

That thread was sweet. Looks like PETA has infested the boards.
As for pain...probably just burns from the oven or a hair straightener.

Most pain Ive ever been in was when I dislocated my left knee. It wasnt the dislocation that hurt so bad, but the part where I put it back in by myself. It makes me shudder still just thinking about the pain and the awful click noises it made as it went in and came out and whatnot.:stoned:

1. I stubbed my toe last week.
2. Burned hand with a cutoff torch. Its amazing what they can damage with a quick close pass over your hand.
3. Stabbed with a super sharp knife. I was working with a friend of mine, it was a friday and we were supposed to gut and skin 2 deer and we wanted to hurry and finish. While we were waiting, we sharpened knives so we can run through it quickly. While we were skinning, he ripped down on the skin of the deer and his knife slipped and went right into the lower left part of my back. I thought he just poked me at first but then the blood started coming and then pain like a mutherfucker. Lesson: String your kills farther apart.

Mine was having my appendix rupture, which just doubled me over in pain. The resulting peritonitis and pain from the huge surgery I had to have to clean everything out wasn't fun, either.

Ouch, I heard that is one of the worst pains you can have.

Thank you. It was surreal. When one is in that much pain, it is like being a suffering animal.
That was when we decided to adopt, and eventually we hope to have a happy ending to our journey for kids!
