Well now i have my 7week old seedlings in my grow room, they look really healthy.I have them under a 4oowatt sodium the temp sits at 80.I have my carbon filter fan comming on for 15mins an hour.My problem is i turned my other 400watt on last night but the temp went to 100 so i turned off one of the lights. What i need is any tips to bring the heat down.I get one problem sorted then another pops up lol.Whoever said growing weed was a piece of cake needs a slap.....

not sure what type of light reflectors you have but you need to atleast have air cooled reflectors and a blower or fan pulling the heat out of the grow room to keep the temps down.

or just up the exhaust in the grow room. You need to get that hot air out of there faster..but an ait cooled hood allows me to operate a 1khps in a 4x4x7.5 feet room. That says a lot.

my exhaust fan runs the entire time my lights on,brings in lots of fresh cool air.in your case this method will waste c02,i would go w/the air cooled reflectors.you can then run your exhaust intermitantly.

If you're running co2 then air cooled reflectors are almost a must. Either that or a portable ac unit. Personally, I'd do away with the co2 for now, and just run your exhaust 24/7. It sounds like your grow is not optimized enough to make use of the co2 anyway. Once you get a grow or two under your belt, then you can go for the cooltubes and co2.

Thanks again perp.Yea i changed the fan to 15mins off/on.However i noticed that it crept up to 100 again during the night.Well i will take your advice will put it on 24/7.I'm glad you suggested that cz i was worried that having it on 24/7 would take to much air out of the room, but you have made me feel better knowing that is not a prob.

lolz at your statment bro, you want as much air moving as you possibly can.

take my setup for instance

2 600w hps in a 2.8x4x6 ft area

i have both these lights in cool tubes with a 600cfm fan blowing through it. Then i have a seperate 400cfm vortech fan pulling air out of the cab 24/7

so a total of 1000cfm when light on cooling the cab and exchanging air and at light out i still have the carbon scrubber scrubbing. keep that thing on 24/7 dude
