Bowls Vs Cones

Here in Australia, i've never met anyone who smokes bowls, everyone smokes cones.
for those of you who don't know what im talking about, a cone is basically a bowl thats only big enough for one hit.

The advantage of this are that there are no "green hits", everyone packs there own cone and rips it all.
you don't have to cap a cone.
no smoke is let off while passing.
People can take as long as they want with a bong without wasting any weed.

And above all, Macho bullshit pissing contests!
among my circle, theres often competition among us about who can rip the biggest cones.
if someone packs you a cone you have too smoke it, no matter how big it is, however packing someone a "death cone" as its referred to, automatically grants the recipient "right of reply", meaning they pack the next cone for the original packer.
Leads to many a laugh and friendly competition.


I dont know the advanteges of bowls over cones, id like too though.
Hence my question i pose to you.

What is the advantages of bowls over cones?

A bowl is just a larger cone (here where i am from we call it a one hitter). With a bowl you just dont have to repack it every time

even knowing what a cone is, i still perfer a bowl.. maybe that's just the laziness.. i usually smoke by myself so there's none of that 'hey i didn't get any greens' bullshit.. i always get greens for obvious reasons lol.... to someone who smokes by themselves, there's just absolutely no advantage to a one hitter (btw, that's what we call a cone, or atleast, what i grew up knewing a 'cone' as...) over a regular bowl....

i call what you call a cone, a snapper, and many other bong enthusiasts do as well. sometimes youll hear phrases like "oh man i snapped a .7 last night". Although i like thqat little competition idea, exept most of the stoners i knwo arent very experienced and woudl probably pack a whole bowl in it, and then id be obligated to smoke it..... on second though, thats a REALLY cool little competition idea :D

Now thats just not true, infact I would go as far as to say a one hitter is ideal for solo smoking

99% of the time i smoke in groups or solo its packing one hitters into a glass bong, i use chopped weed so the tokes are always knee crippling fat, it conserves weed like crazy, theres minimal to no waste and i can get high off one hit, not only because this method is so efficient but i use good weed

ok maybe it's personal prefrence (obviously) if i'm by myself, i perfer packing an entire bowl, toking what it takes to get me high and taking a hit here and there....

Ok so the most obvios advantage is not having to pack every hit.

btw i thought of another advantage too cones, you dont have to empty a cone piece after a pack, a successful rip pulls the ashes through into the water, leaving it free for the next person to hit.
