Is anyone here on the autistic spectrum (or know someone who is) who uses weed to help manage things like associated anxiety or stress etc.?
I'm just curious because I have Asperger's Syndrome and have found weed immensely useful in reducing anxiety and 'meltdowns' from stress.

Sorry, no knowledge here.
My 33 yo daughter is severely afflicted with Angelman Syndrome and lives and works with autistic adults for the past 17 years.
Best wishes for your health and well being and good luck with your social stess management.

I know someone with Asperger's syndrome. Haven't seen him in ages, but I remember he smoked weed, but I don't think he quite enjoyed it or relieved his symptoms, he much prefered alcohol and became a heavy alcoholic. One day, he decided to isolate himself from all his friends, and it's really sad, I still miss him to this day. One of the smartest dudes I ever met, but he's so socially retarded that it's at times dangerous to his well-being.

Fellow aspie here.
I been smoking weed long before I knew I had it. I only use it to enhance my enjoyment of music and computer games, not for the AS, so cannot comment further.

Aspie here. I started long before I knew I had it, smoked on occasion, but I've found that it works wonders on anxiety attacks, as well as those times when I can't get my brain to calm down enough to relax (which is most of the time).

I don't know if I have, or had Asperger's Syndrome, but I do have Celiac disease - and have benefited from a gluten free diet. This diet is also recommended for children and adults with Asperger's Syndrome, Autism, ADHD, and many other conditions.
The GF diet did clear up my head, resolved many other problems, and I have no pressing need to smoke anything now. I am much more selective about what, and how much, stuff I use. Right now, it's practically nothing. Years ago, I did it a lot more.
If you haven't tired this diet, I'd encourage you to do so. It can't hurt, and may be the solution - or a big part of it.
