Hello to All Whom May Care,
Well it has just begun...My room is 6'8" tall X 7'7" wide X 4'6" deep...
I am running a cage fan model #400for my fresh air in, and a model #245 for my dirty air out i also am running a normal white side to side fan not seen in the pics (well in pic #1 u see the corner of it)... I have a 1000hps horizontal and a 400mh vertical light... As of right now i just recieved all these clones (Pink Kush , Diesel, and was told Caliornia Orange but am doubting that one) from a reliable source 3days ago now... What a Xmas present they were eh?? So now i have a few little questions and concerns i did not think of before hand... I keep my water stored 48hrs in advanced in opened containers with my Ph at 6.5... In the 1st picture posted u can see i am running a normal household thermostat which i have set at 75C... In the last picture posted u will see 2 thermometres, 1 white normal mercury filled one that I'll call #1, and a little white digital 1 set at the roots that I'll call #2, which also has a thermometre at the same height as #1 that ill call #3... #3 is fed off and recorded by #2... #1 constantly has a min/max of appx. 73C and 83C... #2 has a min/max of 70C and 81C, #3 has a min/max of 74C and 84C... (Sorry for all the numbers maybe more than a little confusing than useful) I am still in Veg. (24hrs) obviously and plan to be for another 2 weeks if all goes as planned...

What i am wondering is will the constant ups and downs of the temperatures kill my little Queens??
As it is it is Dec 28th/06 and outside air is -2... Whats gonna happen at 28C-30C and even normal temps?? The In and Out Air are both fed from their own sources not even 10 ft from where the cage fans are placed... I have used hard pipe everywhere i can except for where i will have to make breaks in them in the futrue for maint. and future replacements, all my lines have been clamped and taped and my room is 100% sealed as i have a wireless camera and digital thermometres #2 and #3 tell me whats going on im the comfort of another area of the property...(Dont worry i do still have lots of hands on time im not relying on technology for all things necessary and besides the fact i love seeing my Queens go from little Princess' to ruling my world... Well i hope this wasnt way too long and such but if anyone has tips, concerns, comments, likes and dislikes, please let me hear them as i still do not know all... ha ha thanks for the last couple mins sorry if it were a waste to u

you got some heat stress on your plants. it could be from the fluctuations.

See now the leafs are growing strangely, in pic three post 2. Thats heat stress

as well in pic 5, post 1. Notice the growth tip and the newest fan leafs. Notice how the veins seem to be deeper in the leaf. Or from a different angle, Notice how the intervenual regions appear to have swollen. It’s heat stress.

I didn’t read everything you put. Did you get all these plants 3 days ago. Because if so, the heat stress isn’t from you.

Your temps seem ok, try to stop the changing and make sure the lights aren’t too close it can cause the effects on the growth tips

I have had the taller plants since xmas and all the others since esturday early morning... I did notice for sure that something was up...should i reverse my fans and put the 400 for out and 225 for in?? will tha just make a vacuum like i figure it should if i did that?? would a different thermostat be better seems there is basically a 10 degree diference from min to max would another thermo. be more accurrate??? wouldnt the fans end up running constantly?

Ideally what you want is that your fans are on 18 or 24 hours a day and they keep the temp in check. Using a thermostat promotes heat spikes and fluctuation (Bad). You do want a day/night fluctuation of less than 10 degrees. And you always want it cooler at night

You should always have a stronger exhaust it creates a negative pressure (suction) so your filter will work better. You will also move more air through the room.

Think about it this way. 225 and 400 CFM. Remember these are MAX CFM not actual. I don’t know what your actually getting. So if you have 400 intake and 225 exhaust, the 225 is probably moving close to its max (say 220) because your room is under a positive pressure (it’s pressure is slightly above atmospheric pressure). So you have both the pressure and the fan pushing air out of the room.
If you place the 400 as exhaust and 255 intake you wont get 400, but you’ll be getting a lot more air through than if you had passive intake.
With a stronger exhaust you wont have air leaks, and thus smell leaks (if it’s a problem)

You might want to consider having the 400 on all the time (or at least while lights are on.) and the 225 on the thermostat. So if the temp starts to get too high 82, the intake’ll kick in and increase flow--> decrease temp.

?? How accurate is your thermostat? Can you set it to keep the room within 5 degrees? Between 77-82 that would be best

i wanted to add something. it's important that the fans are on most or all of the time because the plants need the gas's. they use up the CO2 fast.. and at night the 02

Can someone tell me what kind of thermostat i should switch to that does not allow for the 10 degree difference... or is there a way to adjust the one shown in my pic??
