So today I accidentally knock down one of her Christmas decorations wich falls and break (glass) while throwing the ball for my dog. She freaks out screaming at me and takes 40 bucks out of my wallet. Fair... Except for the fact the other day she broke my xbox by leaving it on for to many hours, to many times (it burnt out). I was yelling at her everyday for weeks about leaving it on all day (I'd come back from the beach and it woud be on, I'd come home from spending the night somewhere else and it'd be on), all she had to say: "we'll buy you a new one some day when your father makes more money."
Now I turned my back on her damage, but she can't turn her back on mine? Not to mention the damage I caused was an accident and the damage she caused was foretold! My xbox cost 400 dollars, her glass decoration cost 100. She simply says she bought it for me in the first place... indian giver?
What do you guys think? Sorry about being a little ventor and all hehe:rasta:

Hm, well I'd say were on the wealthy side, usually. But with my day out of a job and our current situation (wich we've been in for awhile)... I'd say average.

I don't know man. I mean, if you would have bought that Xbox with your own money, it would be a different story, but they bought it, so why should you feel they now owe for something that you never paid a dime for?
Get over it, it's not a big deal.

Does leaving your X-Box on for long periods of time ruin it??? My Mom does the same damn thing. Every time I cam home it was on and in the past three months it has died out. It will come on for a short period of time but then crashes.
So they are related?

If it was only an accident, youre mum should accept it as that, and not make you pay for it.

I don't think its cool, 'cause my dad plays my xbox and he'd be in my room every night for an hour or two playin' donkey kong (its modded) so I got fed up and put it in his room.
Yeah, thats a bit hypocritical right there.
I must say though, having a 100 dollar piece of breakable glass hanging from a tree is just asking for it though. Thats where its different, yours was an accident, she broke your property after repeatedly being told to turn it off.
What the hell is so hard about turning that shit off? My dads done that before too, he just like, turns the TV off and ignores the xbox...And he also used to hit the eject button instead of turning it on the normal way. He didn't make the connection that the tray opened when he hit that button I guess...He also used to hold the controller upside down.
Oh, if your xbox cost 400 bucks you got ripped dude. Last time I checked they were like 300 bucks.
I wouldn't have let her take that $40 bucks...not till she paid up for your loss.

what exactly does your xbox do?? cuz myne barely works nemore. I think it may be "burnt out" or somthing. On mine, after you turn it on...nothing happens..the green ring lights up or whatever, but on the tv, nothing is happening. And you have to keep turning it on and off, and sometimes if you get lucky, it'll turn on after you've been messing with it for about 10 minutes. Is that kinda what yours does?

hypocritical? yes, but does she have the right to it? i'd say so... sadly... i don't think it's exactly right, but what can you ACTUALLY do about it? try going in her wallet and taking the money out, and watch the shit-fest that insues...

It's like mom always says, don't play ball in the house
Although I don't actually ever remember her ever saying that in the entire run of the show. I don't like the brady bunch.
Some day, you'll be able to screw over your kids in much the same matter.
