I'm a beginner in growing, and I recently planted two plants. Can any1 tell me the cheapest lighting sytem or light bulb needed to grow two plants in a closet , also wattage??? An 1 of my plants has a red stem , is this a defiency of some type or the strain???

if you want one bulb look at the envirolite its a 125 watt cfl and can be used in the veg cycle and in the flowering cycle if you want cheep lights then get as many 42 watt cfl's(150 watt incandesent) as you can and place them within 2-3 inches surround the plant with those and you will get a decent harvest for two plants need more info on the stems agr of plant ?clone? soil? ect

depending how old the plant is a red stem is usually a sign of definency.most of the time they are red for a week or so after sprouting.but if they are older then that its probally definency.honestly ur better off getting a lower wattage hps or mt light.u will be waiting longer for ur bud the weaker ur light is.go 4 the hid.way better.when the plant is older a red stem can just be the strain also.

home depot has a 150 watt hps security light for $69 that would do the job for two plants i would use some 42 watt cfl's (150 watt incan) around the side

Allright thankz,and wat is to early to give fert. ? I was thinkin about miracle grow but I have heard bad shyt.. any input?? will have pics soon.

get pro mix soil.i think the soil can provide enough nutes for about three weeks.go to a hydroponic store to get ur fertz.other fertz tend to lack in certian things ur plants need and sometimes its to strong.get d.n.f it works good

if you can get 1, id go for the 400w hps, you wont regrett it and its about 120-150 for cheaper ones that work.
