Okay... I know I've posted something similar before in another thread, but the situation has changed a little bit, and I'm freaking out, and possibly irrationally starting a new thread. Sorry! :( But, if I can get some help here, I would be so grateful.

I managed to push back a pre-employment drug screen to this upcoming week. Had to lie, which always feels crappy to do, but if I can get this job, it will greatly improve my immediate future and probably catapult me in a great career path. This is really important in just about every aspect of my life. I would've quit sooner, if the job opportunity hadn't just popped on me out of the blue at the recommendation of one of my favorite professors. If I fail this test, bad things will happen, including letting my teacher down and possibly not receiving any further recommendations from her, maybe even ruining my reputation at my college, which paints me as one of the school's best.

The earliest I would be called in, which is probably when I will be called in, will be on the 2nd. At that point, it will be 20 days clean.

I am female. I am in-between 5'9" and 5'10", and I weigh 150 lbs. Until I stopped, I was at about a pipefull a day habit for a couple years of low-midgrade.

Substitution is not an option - it was just ruled a felony here in October, and even though I need this job, I can't go to jail for it, and ruin every future possible opportunity.

I've spoken with chemists, I've spoken with public defenders, I've spoken with a LOT of people about this. Half of the people I talk to think everything will be gravy, nothing to worry about. The other half think I'm fucked. What do you guys think? Please share what opinions you can... the more the merrier. Is there anything I can do over the next five days to help this situation?

You are fine, just keep your metabolism up in the remaining days till the test.

You can always buy a home-test at CVS or Walgreens or some other place like that. They are just as accurate as an actual test. They're $15 a pop or so, but it sounds like you'll make that back quick with that job.

Well, don't worry 'bout it. I'm sure your clean. If people can get away with smokin' the day before a test and passin', I'm sure you can get clean within 20 days.

I thought being clean for over 20 days was going to help, the last time i smoked was just after thanksgiving, had a test 2 days ago and failed. I took another test yesterday. though the test i just took has a 50gram threshold. So aslong as i'm under that i should be ok. I would recomend drinking lots and lots of water and excercise alot. See if you can find a body flush and take that, be sure to follow instructions. If you haven't smoked and do all that you should be ok. But then again that's what i thought. It depends on the test they give you also. just remember try not to stress and keep drinking water to flush you body. stay away from fatty foods and best of luck to you. Let me know how it goes.

Update!

So... previously, we had gone to several local pharmacies looking for the home test, with absolutely no luck. However, we hadn't tried CVS (was across town, so didn't think about it), and *POOF!* they had them! (Thanks for the heads up Frivolous248, really helped!) So, I got two tests for THC, one for now, one for later.

I just took the first one a couple minutes ago, with no dilute aside from my two cups of coffee today and a glass of cranberry juice. The line was there!!! It was kina' faint and pinkish, but definitely a line!!!!! Woot!!!

So, how dark pink does that line need to be for me to pass a pre-employment?

The directions for those tests always say that it doesn't matter how bright or faint the line is, as long as it shows up you're home free ;) Congrats :D

Yeah, I'm beginning to think so, myself. I've been trying to tell myself that not getting this job isn't the end of the world. But, I'm still going to try my best. I think I'm going to be trying dilution method number 2. Got my gatorade, cran juice, water (of course), my asprin, my tums, my vitamins, been taking my creatine. It'll be over 24 hours on the creatine when I take the test, and I'm hoping that will be enough. I even got milk thistle, since I heard that it works somewhere. I'm sure I'll be doing some things that won't have an effect at all, but at this point, I'm willing to try. I think the test is going to be tomorrow, which will be the 20th day. So, I'm not going to try for a complete dilution, just enough to hopefully let me pass without having to retest. I've got one home test left, which I'm going to take last thing before I head to the testing site. So, we'll see...

If anyone has any last minute advice, I'm all ears. Otherwise, wish me luck... I'll update once I take the test.

Another update:

Just went in for my test. I did some loose dilution, and a few things to raise my PH and Creatine levels to compensate. Vitamin B for a little extra color - luckily didn't end up looking like Mountain Dew this time around.

Right before I went in to test, I took a home test, and came out completely clean. They say that my results will be ready in 24 hours... so... we'll see!

To answer your first question a line is a line and thus a pass. If it is faint though you are close. It could be the first time you tested clean you were close and passed but maybe you had been drinking a little more fluid during the day or it was time of day or how long you had been holding it. Best thing to do is use the first void of the day, the dirtiest of the day.
